Coach / Someone Smart
Does anyone know what defense Purdue has been running? Specifically 2 years ago. 4-3?

That is a 4-3 with a defensive back sniffin around up towards the line of scrimmage because the slot is in tight for the offensive team. Against a spread, it looks like a 4-2 almost with backers aligning to the offensive set.

It's a mix of Buddy Ryans old 46 and ....I can't remember who ran it, but it's basically a base 3-6 with a lot of different looks.

I asked a guy on a Purdue board and all he said was "We dont play any defense".
