Re: McCort leads big...
I love this "would have won without those kids" garbage. But then again this goes right back to a sense of community, which McCort doesn't have the capacity to attain. You don't see Purchase line or Chestnut Ridge on here saying they could win games without some of the kids on their team. For such a BUSINESS that claims to have high moral standards, their players certainly seem expendable. Pathetic and actually kinda disgraceful to the kids, but then again, i guess if those kids already made their bed, they deserve to sleep in it.

Congrats McCort for MOVING DOWN A CLASS. I mean boy oh boy, was it just too easy in AA or what? I don't what made you guys think A would be any harder.
Another District Final tainted by the likes of a private school.
Look out Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, etc., because here comes Bishop McCort!
And oh yeah, have fun getting raped by the likes of Highspire or anyone else you run into.

Yeah, I am really heartbroken I don't get Christmas cards from McCort like you do, Dfense.
There must be a lot more "private donors" than what we all think. It's strange how McCort has the money to spread to their hockey players as well as the football team. That's a lot of tuition that gets paid for. See, McCort doesn't have to make this information public, so we'll just all trust they are honest with it.

Re: McCort leads big...
pittfootball,
One correction, Domonkos was born and raised a Windber Rambler. If he went to St. Benedict's at all it was only in his freshman year when, if I remember correctly, he was kicking for the varsity. While we are on the subject, how about Shane Rugg, also a Rambler until his sophomore year, a starter on the offensive line in both his sophomore and junior seasons and a starter on the defensive line this season? What about his younger brother who was a Rambler until this, his freshman year, are you going to say that because he attended St. Benedict's (ow whichever school he is attending) that he was born and raised at McCort?
Don't get me wrong, I AM NOT SAYING THAT ANY OF THESE KIDS WERE RECRUITED BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW THAT, NOR DO I CARE. Also, I AM NOT SAYING THAT BISHOP MCCORT IS DOING ANYTHING OUTSIDE THE RULES. However, WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT BM DOES HAVE AN ADVANTAGE BECAUSE THEY CAN PLAY THESE KIDS THAT CHOOSE TO LEAVE THEIR HOME SCHOOL DISTRICTS, FOR REASONS THAT SHOULD ONLY MATTER TO THEM, AND THAT THE BM FAITHFUL NEED TO ADMIT THAT THESE SITUATIONS DO EXIST AND NOT ALL THE IMPACT PLAYERS WERE "BORN AND RAISED" IN THE BM SYSTEM
As for their decision to "play down" to Class A, I will only say that they are not playing down. According to PIAA classifications they are, and have been, classified as Class A and in accordance with PIAA rules they are entitled to play at that classification. Also, until the PIAA requires private schools to "play up" I don't think anyone should expect them to do so voluntarily, which BM has done in the past.

AmusedObserver,
Dane Domonkos did in fact go to St. Benedicts for grade school. Get your facts straight before you post on here.

And what was the example when CC got slaughtered by Central?
Or Forest Hills losing to Central?
Or no other LHAC team doing anything in the playoffs?

Re: McCort leads big...
if you notice McCort is the last standing A catholic school.(1 of 4 catholc teams out 32 teams in the state might i add) How come teams from every other district in the state managed to beat out the catholic schools and did it without crying on the internet the whole time?
We have problems here is D6 if a public school doesnt win it all then the whole world comes to an end. All i am saying if teams from other districts are able to beat catholic schools why can't Portage? Monaca made it to Heinz and that school is shutting down in a few years!!!!! Its a small school...they dont care they just play football and win and they dont have to make excuses for themselves....my only advice to the schools of D6 A....just go out and play. Your in a system that cant be changed....McCort doesnt recruit...but i do admit they get kids from all over....Maybe a border or boundry should be drawn up it never will. And personally id rather be playing Wilmington next week with the 3rd AA championship in a row. We were good enough to win it this year and with the amount of talent returning definatley good enough to win it next year.....As long as McCort was good enough to win in AA thats where they should have stayed.
born and raised a rambler? hahahahahaha yeah his brothers didnt kick the 8 prior years for McCort or anything. Wow your info was way off

Re: McCort leads big...
NEWS ALERT: Josh Seidel was definitely recruited by his dad to go to McCort. He was promised free wings and pizza from The Haven for life... Schrey and Lowry also got the same deal with one more incentive: Free Clark's Subs.....
