The Garbage is Already Piling Up.
It has already started. On my way to work, I listen to a radio show that is on Sunday's mornings about college football. The host is an idiot. I'm not just saying that because he likes different teams than I do, this guy is a classic example of someone who opens the Sunday paper, sees scores, and assumes that games are blowouts. You know they type. I listen to it because its a trainwreck. But the fact remains that this is just one of the people in the media who spew this garbage to the common folk.
According to this guy, there are 3 teams who are "great". Alabama, Florida... and you guessed it... USC. I threw my arms up in victory, because I knew I would not go more than 2 hours today without hearing how awesome USC is.
Never mind the fact that every single time USC has any resistance, they clam up and their offense gets more tense than Scooby Doo when he sees a ghost.
Unreal.
It is coming, folks. You will hear today, probably before you even read this. Everyone will disregard Paterno's amazing bowl record, his amazing bowl preparation, and will tell you that Penn State will lose to USC by 40 points. Good. Keep hyping USC. I hope that by the time the Rose Bowl comes around, the spread goes from 3 to 7 to 10 to 20 to 35 to 50 in favor of USC.
I love pete Carroll, and I agree with DeBiceps' assessment that USC is the gold standard you measure yourselves by. This Penn State team has been breaking barriers all season and now have another chance to rub it in Ohio State's face as to who won the Big Ten. Just remember something, folks. I have just as many hot sports opinions as the rest of us about paterno, but this game will be determined on the field, and Joe Paterno is without question the last coach in history that I would want to go up against in a bowl game.
Keep talking about USC.

It's going to continue to go all Bowl season. I'm sick of it already. The funny part is that if Missouri finds some way to beat Oklahoma; then USC will probably make the National Championship. Everyone is so in love with them right now it's not even funny. Missouri's only chance of beating Oklahoma is if Sam Bradford breaks his arm on the first play.
