Public and Private in Another State

Post by TBone »

I mentioned in another post that my brother is the "O" coordinator at a school in KY. They were in the state finals last year and played in the semis last night. His school, Lexington Christian Adademy lost to public school Hazzard 28-21.
When reading about the game online I found this editorial. Things aren't much different in other states I guess.

From the Lexington Herald:

"At the end of the day, this game meant more to Hazard than LCA. Not necessarily the kids, but as a small school in the mountains the talent seems to come in cycles and with the core of seniors and juniors Hazard has throughout both basketball and football it is truly a great time for Hazard sports at the state level, right now. LCA and their resources will reload and be players year in and year out in Class A, while Hazard will hopefully ascend to these heights a couple of times every decade in the new class system."

On a side note: Where have we heard Hazzard County before? :)
