CalU vs. UMD

Not sure if any of you guys follow D2 football or not, but just throwing it out there that Cal plays the University of Minnesota-Duluth tomorrow. UMD is undefeated at 13-0, and Cal is 12-1.

UMD is ranked 6th nationally, as Cal is ranked 7th. UMD is coming off a double overtime victory against #1 ranked Grand Valley State. It seems to be a pretty even matchup, and the winner advances to the D2 National Championship game in Florence, Alabama. This is the first ever meeting between the two teams.

The game is at Cal, start time 12PM. It is airing on ESPN Classic nationwide. Watch it while flipping through the D1 games.

Good luck to Cal, hope they rep Pennsylvania, and the PSAC well.

I dont know who UMD is, but their student section should call their school the University of Mass Destruction.

Rough first half, down 17-0. Two dropped passes killed CalU. One cost them a touchdown and another bounced off the WR's hands and right into UMD DB's who took it back to the 5.

I've seen more fans at Heritage games than this. Poor Cal U. First they lose Tommy Chunta to graduation and now this.

This is gonna be the 2nd consecutive year making it to the semis and losing. UMD has never even made it this far ever, and is already making an appearance at the championship game. Looks like that 25% D1 transfers for Cal needs to be brought up to 50% for next year if they want a championship appearance.
