Wow, I haven't posted on here in forever. I've set up some questions for you to answer, the first ones are for your favorite team (usually Penn State or Pitt), and the second group is for the season overall.

Favorite Team's Predictions:

1. Who will be the most important player to your team?

General Predictions:

1. Who will be the National Champion?
2. Who will win the Heisman?

6. What team will be the biggest disappointment?

And my answers...
1. Who will be the most important player to your team? Daryl Clark or the linebacker core in general. If they play well, we're gonna be good.
2. Who is your teams best player? Derrick Williams and Maurice Evans. I predict a breakout year for D-Will and Evans is a monster at the end position.
3. Who/What will be the biggest surprise for your team? Clark. If he plays like M-Rob circa '05, like i believe he will, we're going places.
4. Who/What will be the biggest disappointment for your team? Lydell Sargent. I don't know why, I just don't trust the guy in coverage.
5. What freshman will make the biggest impact for your team? Stephon Green, even though he's a redshirt frosh. He's got blazing speed and the option with him and Clark will be deadly.
6. Must win game of the year? Michigan. If we don't beat them this year, there's really something wrong.
7. Biggest trap game of the year? Oregon State. I could see them giving us a fight early in the season when we're still getting our legs under us.
8. What will your teams record be? Bowl prediction? 10-2 to 11-1, with a loss to Ohio State and maybe a loss to Michigan.

1. Who will be the National Champion? Oklahoma over Florida.
2. Who will win the Heisman? Timothy Tebow. He's got a better supporting cast and will have the media even more focused on them as they head to the BCS Championship.
3. Who will be the biggest breakout star of the season? I believe Noel Devine is. He'll ride that momentum from the bowl game to an All-American selection and possibly become a Heisman finalist. He fits that offense perfectly and he's crazy good.
4. Who will see their stock fall they farthest? Pat White. I like the kid as a college player, even though I still don't believe he can throw, but he's a receiver at the next level.
5. What team will improve the most? Miami. With a great recruiting class and Randy Shannon's hard work attitude, they'll compete for an ACC title this year.
6. What team will be the biggest disappointment? LSU. I know some people believe their defense will carry them, but they have major quarterback issues. Then again, they won most of their games last year without a good quarterback.

8. What will your teams record be? Bowl prediction?9-3 to 11-1 , Rose Bowl, with OSU playing for the title in New Orleans

General Predictions:

1. Who will be the National Champion? USC over Ohio State
2. Who will win the Heisman? QB from Mizzou
3. Who will be the biggest breakout star of the season? Noel Devine is a good pick here
4. Who will see their stock fall they farthest? Tim Tebow(hate everything Gator)
5. What team will improve the most? Missouri
6. What team will be the biggest disappointment? Florida- refer to #4

3. Who/What will be the biggest surprise for your team? Wiesnewski
4. Who/What will be the biggest disappointment for your team? When they once again pretend they are opening up the offense.
5. What freshman will make the biggest impact for your team? I guess Green because he's the backup.
6. Must win game of the year? It is absolutely, 100%, no doubt Michigan.
7. Biggest trap game of the year? Michigan State
8. What will your teams record be? Bowl prediction? 10-2. They'll win the bowl game. They'll be the worst 10-2 team in the nation, though.

General Predictions:

1. Who will be the National Champion? Ohio State over Missouri
2. Who will win the Heisman? Beanie Wells
3. Who will be the biggest breakout star of the season? Julio Jones
4. Who will see their stock fall they farthest? Todd Reesing
5. What team will improve the most? By season's end it'll be Michigan.
6. What team will be the biggest disappointment? Fresno State

5. What team will improve the most? PITT: FROM 5-7 TO 9-3.
6. What team will be the biggest disappointment? GEORGIA: Their schedule is too tough.

1. Most Important Player: A.J. Wallace-we know Sargent can't cover so unless Wallace can handle a lot of one-on-one coverage we may be in trouble

2. Best Player: Derrick Williams-he is always the one to make the big play when it is needed

3. Surprise: Shuler and Gaines-may be better at TE with Shuler than Quarless and with Evans getting doubled a lot Gaines can look to break out

4. Disappointment: Evans-He will still be good but will get a lot more attention than last year

5. Freshman: Green-Amazing speed out of the backfield

6. Must win game: Wisconsin-blew them out last year at home, first of a tough 3 game stretch

7. Trap Game: Purdue and Indiana-Purdue is the week before the stretch of Wisky, Mich, OSU and has a great QB in Painter. Indiana is a good team after a bye week.

8. Record, bowl: 10-2 with loses @OSU and one of the following @Purdue, Indiana, or Mich State, BCS bowl as an At-Large

3. Who/What will be the biggest surprise for your team? Josh Gaines, with all the focus on Evans he'll have a break out year
4. Who/What will be the biggest disappointment for your team? going 11-1 and not getting invited to a BCS game because of the Big 10 flops the last two years
5. What freshman will make the biggest impact for your team? Stephon Green
6. Must win game of the year? Meeeshagan
7. Biggest trap game of the year? Oregon State...their first real test of the year
8. What will your teams record be? Bowl prediction? 11-2 bowl loss

General Predictions:

1. Who will be the National Champion? Ohio State

4. Who will see their stock fall they farthest? Trindon Holliday, LSU/Bobby Petrino
5. What team will improve the most? Minnesota...lets face it, they certainly can't do much worse
6. What team will be the biggest disappointment? Rutgers...they're finally gonna be on the downswing

Favorite Team's Predictions: PENN STATE

1. Who will be the most important player to your team? Evan Royster
2. Who is your teams best player? Maurice Evans
3. Who/What will be the biggest surprise for your team? Bani Gbadyu... Can you consider green a surprise since everyone seems to know about him?
4. Who/What will be the biggest disappointment for your team? Either Sales or one of our CB's... I think Sales just seems stiff or slow and I think Astorino ends up as a starter at DB before the season's end
5. What freshman will make the biggest impact for your team? Brandon Ware... I don't know...I didn't want to pick a redshirt guy because that's the easy pick here. I think with the guys we lost in the middle, this 360 lb mammoth might get some time
6. Must win game of the year? Oregon State- People are skipping over this one. Do people realize this team is good enough to beat us and gets a better test in week 1 vs Stanford than we do? If we lose this, things could go downhill for this team...
7. Biggest trap game of the year? @ Purdue scares me bad. It is after the Illinois night game...then Purdue...then Wisky, Mich, OSU... I think this is the definition of a trap game
8. What will your teams record be? Bowl prediction? 8-4 at worst and 10-2 at best. I'll go 10-2 and a Rose Bowl bid.

General Predictions:

1. Who will be the National Champion? Clemson... I like to pick someone different than most. I think they have a better shot at getting through the ACC than Georgia does getting through the SEC
2. Who will win the Heisman? Michael Crabtree of Texas Tech is a football god
3. Who will be the biggest breakout star of the season? DeMarco Murray... I cheated and looked around for a big time back possibility in a top 10 program that is an unknown to many of us as of today
4. Who will see their stock fall they farthest? I think that Pat White pick could be true, but I'm going with Lesean Mccoy just because people think he is single handedly going to make Pitt into a top 20 team. That win vs WVU has Pitters flying high and they should be... I just don't know if Pitt's passing game can be good enough to help Mccoy become the stud many expect. They're schedule isn't real good though so...
5. What team will improve the most? Even though I said something about Mccoy... I pick that because expectations are so high for him. I do pick Pitt to be pretty good though because their defense could be solid and they do play a bunch of teams I think they should beat...LVille and Rutgers are also down a little versus the last few years
6. What team will be the biggest disappointment? Don't know why...but Auburn is my pick since they are a top 10 team right now. I don't think they will be when it is all said and done. My second pick is Mizzou because I think the B12 will be a little better this year and they'll finish outside the top 10.

7. Biggest trap game of the year? agree with Coach - Purdue
8. What will your teams record be? Bowl prediction? have a tough time thinking they will be better than 9-3; another Florida New Year's day bowl

General Predictions:

1. Who will be the National Champion? USC - down year in the PAC 10
2. Who will win the Heisman? it's Tebow's to lose
3. Who will be the biggest breakout star of the season? ???
4. Who will see their stock fall they farthest? Todd Boeckman -OSU, with Pryor in the wings this guy will have to be perfect every play. Ton of pressure even for a fifth year senior
5. What team will improve the most? Florida State - too much talent on that team to go 7-6 in an average ACC
6. What team will be the biggest disappointment? not necessarily a disappointment to me but Illnois will have a tough time equalling last seasons success. Biggest disappointment will be Nits if they don't win at least nine games.

With the news of Devlin transferring, it reminded me of my preseason prediction regarding that situation. I thought I would look back and see how my other predications went. After reviewing the thread, I was impressed at how many predications the group made that were accurate. Granted some of the predictions were way off base, but overall not bad for a bunch of 'average fans'. Who needs the experts?
