Jordan Hill
In case anyone missed The Exodus update about Jordan Hill decommiting from Rutgers and opening it back up, here's the rundown.
Hill was committed early to RU, like a lot of kids were. Since then, RU has lost a lot of players to other programs. It is actually a pretty big misconception that Schiano has kept "all the NJ talent in state" which he has not done, but we will discuss this later when I do the research of the past few recruiting class. Regardless, Hill is from Steelton Highspire, a school McCort really loves. Since decommitting, Hill was very interested in Pitt. Pitt was w/o question in the lead, but he wanted (and did not have) an offer to Penn State. Similar situation right now with Pitt lean Dan Mason, who wants PSU to offer, but they are done at LB for the next 10 years it seems. PSU's top recruiter Larry Johnson stopped in today to see Hill and did not see him (I dont know why) but I guess he told Hill's HS coach, and Hill himself on the phone, that PSU has offered him. Now PSU is head to head with Pitt, which is the way we should all want it. We should want every PA recruit to be torn between Pitt and Penn State.
The thing about Hill is that, as Vman said, he is probably the best kept secret in the whole state. There are people who think Jordan Hill is the top prospect from PA in this entire recruiting class. Which is very strange b/c on Rivals he is a 2-star player and on Scout he is a 3-star player. Very strange. But the people who have seen this kid play have been extremely impressed, and I guess he has a great attitude as well. I dont understand why he's ranked so low, he's a huge kid with good speed and from what i could tell he has every tool to succeed just like a 5-star kid does. I am really dumbfounded why the recruiting sites are low on Hill. Maybe it's because he has played single A and played against single A competition. I dont know.
But whatever the outcome is between Pitt and Penn State, I can almost guarantee you that in 2 or more years you will be talking about this kid.
