Trouble in East Brunswick.
As some of you know, PSU WR target Justin Brown has been a heavy PSU lean for months, but will not give a verbal commitment. Many people are quite irritated by this, and rightfully so, b/c if he is not going to PSU, that screws the WR recruiting at the last minute. I understand why he wants to take his visits, its the biggest decision of his life, yadda yadda.
So...
Now PSU needs a potential WR as a backup plan. One former target was NJ's Shawney Kersey, who reportedly is decommiting from Rutgers and wants to go to Penn State. A big reason for that is his friendship with PSU commit Gerald Hodges.
From Rivals:
Word from the Rutgers boards today is that they already consider him decommitted...as they did Jordan Hill. They only have 17-18 scholarships available for this class and currently have 22 commits, with several more targets undecided. Word is, several of their current commits have begun to look elsewhere due to doubt that their original scholarship offer won't be honored. Kersey, who is a very close friend of Gerald Hodges, is very interested in PSU, and would be considered a very heavy PSU lean if an offer and visit are in his near future.
Looks like Schiano overloaded his class... AGAIN.
