nlions, I'm with you! Who cares that Pitt will be the #1 college basketball team in the nation? The Stillerzzz and Pens are the games that run this town.

Au contraire, State Penn football is the only show in their town! Daddy JOKE-pa(thetic) is da shizzzzz...Just ask his boyzzz...Dey ain't thugzzzzz...The only place in central PA where the action is in the fall is a home PSU football game...or Happy Hour at Duffy's Tavern in Boalsburg...or at the Horseh** Curve...

INDEED...PSU impressed me on NY Day in the Grandaddy of them all! PSU's defensive coordinator Petey Carroll did a great job holding USC under 40! PSU won the 2nd half 17-7...They should get some #1 votes on the Coaches' Poll, right????????????

Are there any tickets left to the grand introduction of the SuePa collection in the PSU library? What is that Joker's salary anyway?

How did Pitt do against Oregon State?

They lost? Whatttt? No way!! Penn State killed them! But Oregon State beat USC!

Looks like we are in a stand still here WPIAL..we'll just go by football records this year. Which of course Penn States was better. And the top 25 poll, yeah Penn State has that too.

But Pitt beat Iowa! And PSU lost to them! So Pitt is better!! aha!

Not really.

We are talking about basketball WPIAL. Why would you ever bring up football?

ham55...I thought you didn't care about Pitt or Pitt basketball??? Everyone knows that Pitt dropped PSU and picked up IUP to improve their RPI Index.

Just thank God that Meyer or Stoops weren't coaching USC on New Year's Day...The final would've been in the neighborhood of 52-7.

I don't care about Pitt basketball. Just like you don't care about anything PSU. Yet you always seem to find any and every reason to post about them.

I'd say that PSU scored 24 times more points than Pitt did in their bowl game, but 24 times 0 is still 0, so I don't know how to put it.

ham55...Are you trying to say that at any point in the 2nd half that you thought PSU would win and that USC wasn’t in complete control of the game? Penn State was NEVER in that football game after the first quarter. Never in it. No chance at all.

Petey and the players took their feet off of the gas-You know it and I know it. You saw what happened when PSU scored to make it 31-14…USC went straight down the field. USC appeared to be as bored playing PSU as I was watching the Pitt/Oregon State game.

Face it...PSU was an average football team who won a terrible conference and most of all who played NOBODY. They are barely deserving of a top 25 ranking, let alone being ranked somewhere between 9-12, where they will end the season.

Football is OVER...

Let's talk some basketball. Was that a pin I heard dropping in the Bryce Jordan Center during the NJIT game???

So if Pitt played USC it would be a legitimate contest? Because I honestly dont think Pitt could throw anymore than 0 points up on USC, much like they did against Oregon State.

I care greatly about PSU and pay special attention to correct delusional thinking by their many brainwashed fans when I see it.

I know that Pitt couldn't compete with USC in football...but yet some of you blind Nitters actually think PSU had a chance against USC. That's the difference between Pitt and PSU fans. We Pitt fans know that we stink and can readily admit it.

On the other hand, PSU gets exploited, dismantled, exposed, and destroyed in every way imaginable by the first legit team they play all season and many of their fans still think they're great.

Fact: PSU is an above average major college football team with a gaudy record because they played in the weakest BCS conference and rang up Ws against a disgraceful OOC schedule just to pad the old man JoPAthetic's record and try to keep him ahead of Bowden.

Wonder if PSU plans to waste more of our tax dollars paying a brain dead "coach" millions of dollars a year (nobody knows because he's the only public employee in PA whose salary doesn't seem to be public record), then dragging the old gnome around the country again next year to sit in the pressbox for games "Weekend at Bernie's" style????

If you're really nice, Wanny might share his Iowa gameplan with The Boy Wonder and Heir Apparent (JayPAthetic) next year...

As I said, football's over...It's basketball season now...Wanna talk some basketball?

Pitt's RPI is #1 and their strength of schedule is #3 in the country.

PSU's RPI is #98 and their strength of schedule is 260th out of 343 NCAA D1 teams.

Source: http://www.realtimerpi.com/rpi_Men.html

A fair exchange for a 10 year home and home in football would be that we play PSU in men's basketball at home until the year 4276.

On second thought, I recommend that we NEVER schedule PSU in men's basketball again due to the irreparable damage the game will do to our RPI and strength of schedule. We need to continue to keep IUP on the schedule to keep our RPI and strength of schedule at acceptable levels.

Any other questions?
