Teams "Under the Radar" Going into Playoffs
Who's the area picks for teams that are maybe not getting too much recognition and may advance a few rounds in the upcoming playoffs?
I've got a self-centered reason for this thread. Tyrone in AAA hasn't gotten much attention so far but in the last week, they went 3-0 with lopsided wins over Lewistown and Central, and a sloppy but impressive ot win over AAAA Central Mountain(9-5) last night with their top scorer fouling out early in the 4th while trailing. Catisch is gone and the Eagles are 11-2,JV is 10-3, and Jr High 11-2....Don't look now but George Gripp is building a program.

The biggest concern I would have with Tyrone is the numbers out for basketball. They are playing AAA and have 15 players, varsity and junior varsity combined and that is with no cuts. Two freshman were moved up and are part of the fifteen. That means thirteen players from 10th 11th 12th are out for the team. Plus they got a kid who is from Juniata Valley who supposedly lives in Tyrone.

Spruce Creek,Alexandria,Warriors Mark area is kinda vague with where the line is. I know that the Ingles' live in Warriors Mark and he's related to Ben, so I'm sure it's as kosher as any other transfer.

You lost me with the relationship to Ben. Ben who?
The Espe kid played for Juniata Valley up until his senior season. I am sure the lines were not changed this year. The parents or parent declares residency in another school district and gets an apartment in order for the player to compete at that school.
My statement was regarding a school the size of Tyrone only having thirteen (one from another school district) and two freshman to make up a team. How many 10-11-12 are on Tyrones football team? 45? See what I am saying?

to be honest i'd have to say Westmont and BG. If westmont goes i think they will be underestimated. And BG in single A could suprise a ton of people.
