Bedford dominated the whole match. I know that Bedford is a great squad, but was Westmont a little overrated or will this be their toughest test of the season?

I know Bedford is the real deal, but how did Westmont look overall? Will they win District 6 easy? What are some of the matchups for District 6? I would say that District 5 is Bedford's, barring a bunch of mishaps. What are your thoughts??

From the way it sounded, Westmont did not wrestle well at all. They got called for a lot of stalling calls and cautions. You can't have those type of mistakes in a match like this. It's still only January and you can get those mistakes fixed, but I was shocked to hear how Westmont wrestled. I know Bedford has the best team in the state, but I expected this match to be really close. Westmont only scored one more point than NBC did and they forfeited three weights.

Overrated? After what they did to Forest Hills, after finishing 4th in the Mount Mat Madness? Westmont didn't seem like Westmont tonight. Bedford wrestled tough in a big matchup at home. Where was the spillover crowd that was predicted?

I guess you were joking or just not being realistic ...Not taking anything away from Westmont they wrestled tough and have some very good wrestlers but Bedford has some top notch wrestlers something they more than proved tonight ...

Bedford was dominate. The gym was full but I wouldn't say there was much spillover.

I thought going in it would be very tight, but Bedford controled things from the start.

Key matches=

135- was a tight match Cook Bed won with an overtime takedown.
145- Gibbons won by 1 or 2 points. But he really seemed to control the match to me.
171- Westmont freshman beat Brett. Brett seemed out of gas and injured. Could cost Bedford down the road if he can't get healthy.
285- WOW. Krupa looks like a beast. Tossed a 16-3 280 pound Westmont HWT. around like a rag doll. One throw looked like it was straight from the WWE.
112- Easter BED. got a 4-2 win over Hough?? 2 stalling points for Easter

Bedford was def. more aggressive tonight. Bedford kids that were outmatched wrestled hard and didn't get pinned. Westy kids that were outmatched seemed to get pinned. Except for the one that was in deep trouble twice and took injury time both times.

But I would expect the next match if they meet again to be closer. Bedford won all the toss-up matches tonight except for 171.

DoCoogie, I was not taking anything away from Bedford. I was asking about Westmont. They were ranked third in the state. Usually the third ranked team in the state doesn't get completely dominated by the team ranked first in the state. Maybe Bedford is that good. I would be glad to see that a District 5 team is that good. It did not seem that Westmont wrestled fundamentally sound. That's all.

Westmont is for real. They just got outwrestled tonight. Bedford I think is prooving though that they can actually make a run at a state title.

2 big injury's though.

Both Shippey and Brett need to be healthy.
