CC vs. McCort
Re: CC vs. McCort
I like how the Tribune put this score in the back of the section so some people might not see it. Cuz you know dang well if McCort won there would be a front page full of how good they are and how they are challenging the Cleveland Cavaliers next week.

Re: CC vs. McCort
LOL @ the TD putting the McCort score in the Fishing and Hunting section of the sports, so only the sportsmen from places like Ashville, Gallitzin, and Loretto will find it...
Makes McCort getting blasted by Jordan Cambria (or is that Central Miller) all the more entertaining!

Ouch vman...That hurt. LOL @ "myopic drivel"...I see McCort taught you how to use a thesaurus...
McCort must've played like a good report card last night... NO "D"!
How did that all-star team give up 85 to a sub-.500 6-AA team?
Jordan Cambria=LHAC Champ!
Isn't there an Earth Wind and Fire song called September??? Maybe it should be called "November" as in "See ya in November!"
Sing it now, with the lyrics...Just change "September" to "NOVEMBER"!

There's nothing like having a hot player in February. Sorta reminds me of Sam Pollino carrying CV to the state championship game a few years back.

Re: CC vs. McCort
Miller's playing at UPJ, full scholarship from what I understand. Free education and playing basketball beyond HS...nothing wrong with that.
JM could be a big contributor at UPJ for 4 years, as opposed to a redshirt, then a role player/project on a lower or mid level D1 team...and that's IF any other D1 coaches besides Bobby Jones would've taken a shot at him...I know what I'd rather be doing for the next 4 years if I was JM...
I think JM was smart and he must've taken a lesson from players like Spaid, Profeta, and Hoffman playing at SFU. All 3 were good HS players (different players than JM-particularly Hoffman-, but at least Hoffman and Profeta, who I saw play in HS were every bit as skilled/athletic as JM, in my opinion), who were in all reality D2 players, but BJones gave them a shot...Now they are role players for a SFU team that is getting its collective brain beaten in by the Bryants and LIUs of the world.

Re: CC vs. McCort
I believe Shade and Johnstown did very well at guarding JM.
Some people will say well J-town has the athletes to do so, but Shade don’t and they did an excellent job of containing him.
I think that BM just got out coached; if you can allow a single player to control a basketball game then you must not have the right game plan. Richland did the same thing McCort did.
Let’s use an example of what Shade did to JM. When he got the ball in a scoring area he got doubled until he gave it up. When he didn’t have the ball they face guarded him and made it tough for him to get the ball.
What does that do to a scorer like JM.? It makes him force the issue, take bad shots, and highly contested shots.
I feel that Hollern did a horrible job preparing his team for this game, and what adds insult to injury is that they have the athletes and smart experience kids who could control JM.
Big UPS to JM

Didn't use thesaurus, didn't go to McCort!WPIAL~Titan wrote:Ouch vman...That hurt. LOL @ "myopic drivel"...I see McCort taught you how to use a thesaurus...
At beginning of season absolutely no one picked McCort to do anything/win anything this year......yet they won their section & the LH! Congrats to a group of undermanned, overachieving, strong willed kids on a great year. J Miller was simply awesome last night.....ridiculously good, as a matter of fact, & all credit to him & his teammates as well, several of whom played good games too! Good luck to CC rest of the way in D6.
