In my opinion this is gonna be the best D6 title game in a while. Miller is creeping up on that 2000 career mark in points scored. He more than likely won't be able to get it in a single game against CH so they'll have to win the District if he wants a chance to keep that alive. CH and CC have been a good match-up in the regular season. I say heights wins if they get the right coaching.

Cambria Heights - 62
Central Cambria - 57

Actually Miller passed up the 2000 career mark with his 42 points against Richland in the first round of the playoffs. I believe he needed 38 to get there going in.

what i meant was, it sounds like the above post inferred that if miller didn't get his 2000th against heights (which he already has) he would not have a chance again if they lost the title game. Although, maybe i misinterpreted the intent.

either way, go lowlanders!

I followed ya PIAA, CC advances to state torney regardless of a W or L vs CH (top 3 teams from D6 AA advance); gotta assume PV will win consy game. Good Luck to CH & CC!!

Thanks for correcting me guys. I was given misinformation by my buddy at work who told me that miller had yet to score 2000 and as it turns at he already had. Regardless, I don't think either team wants to go into the State tournament with a loss hanging over their head.

Homer-Center hit 2 free throws with 5 seconds left to beat Harmony by a point....

Any scores from the Carroll boys game? BG girls? Also, would like to know a Jtown-Somerset final as soon as someone knows... Thanks

lhacbigfan,

did you make the game? my buddy called and said the officials were terrible. he said the refs were afraid to blow the whistle all game to call reaches or blocks on homer center out front when they would hammer the harmony guards every time down the court. they missed a ton of travelling calls as well. he said some porky fat point guard for homer center drove in and stumbled on his own and fell down and the refs called a foul on harmony. sounds like these officials must have been from D5 and decided the outcome of the game. he said harmony would start to pull away and the refs would let a hack or something go underneath or outfront and homer got back in the game a few times.

he said homer center has a deep bench and they aren't afraid to hack away and foul, and in this game they really got away with some fouls. he said harmony had some good kids but not much depth they were only about 6 deep to homer centers 10-12 players.

Hornets,
I was not at the game, just listened to the end on the radio. So I couldn't really tell you how the officiating was... although they did say the kid that made the 2 free throws at the end was shooting around 43% at the foul line for the year. I'd say thats stepping up with the game on the line...
