Heritage League
Re: Heritage League
i forgot the part where this was a hate fest on Homer-Center and not a discussion about the Heritage Conference... my bad... and as for the discussions about the 'getting hot at the right time' ordeal... we lost our starting second baseman and a two-man senior rotation in right field, which can be filled no problem, as well as second base. Yes McCourt is on District 6 single A this year, but if you look at the teams we beat in playoffs, we beat top-seeded Portage, a good Guilfoyle team, and almost ten runned Juniata Valley in the D6 championship. Not to mention beating Curwensville in the majority of the team's first state playoff game. Returning their top 7 in their line-up, i don't know how you can argue against the fact that a RETURNING D6 championship team bringing back basically 8 starters can't be competitive?
Re: Heritage League
Could you please tell me where I said this team won't be competitive? I said they would win the Heritage, but would not win District 6. I guess thats being non-competitive in your opinion.
Saying that this team beating Portage was an accomplish is a complete joke. I can remember people telling me that it was one of the worst Portage teams in years, a direct statement from their own head coach.
Home-Center will not touch McCort and anyone with common sense will tell you that. McCort has a D-1 prospect who is headed to UVA, along with a lot of talent. HC will not see one pitcher that throws over low 80s all season and they also do not have a pitcher that throws 80. I know for a fact their two starers throw mid to high 70s.
Heritage champs, yes. D-6 champs, that is just unrealistic.
Maybe you should learn how to read and comprehend things before making an invalid argument. Besides should players really be in here "talking up" their teams?

Final Score...
Single A Homer-Center - 9
Triple A Johnstown - 6

Triple A Johnstown - 6
Re: Heritage League
When you are holding another D 6 trophy at the end of the year then you can talk. It is too bad that all the good baseball players in Johnstown don't actually go to Johnstown High. I wouldn't be too excited.
