Thank God.

Thank God PSU didn't land Tate Forcier. Have you been watching this Greg Paulus comedy routine? Here's what this idiot Forcier said, and yes, this is the real quote:

"I can give a dam what Paulus does. If he wants to ruin his career and come here its fine with me, b/c he's about to be my back-up."

Wow, what an idiot. I like the "ruin his career" part the most. I don't know what he majored in at Duke, but if he got a degree from there then he should have a pretty nice life after playing sports. Rich Rod may want to put a muzzle on that kid.

I think Paulus was a 5-star QB out of HS. He's from Syracuse, and one of my best friends is from western NY, so we were really hoping he'd initially pick the Cuse.

Ham, why did Paulus see such a dropoff in playing time?

Quite simple. Nolan Smith was better at the point than what Paulus was.

The thing that Tate needs to realize is that Paulus is a former Gatorade player of the year in football. He received a dual scholarship opportunity to play football and basketball at Notre Dame that he turned down to play basketball at Duke. Which isn't a bad idea if you think basketball is where you can make your living. But it didn't pan out for him. It's been 5 years since he's played football, but I'd like to imagine that being a Player of the Year speaks volumes about your ability. If you have it you have it. Let's face it, Michigan needs help at QB, and Paulus has played in some very very tough environments in his time at Duke. If nothing else, he'll be dependable to fall back on if he does go to Michigan.

Thats exactly what I would want on my team is a dependable young man who drops out of programs when he doesnt get what he wants.

nLions, what are you talking about? Paulus has no basketball eligibility left. He has used up his four years at Duke. He is still able to play a year of football since he did not redshirt. How is he dropping out of a program where he did not get what he wanted?

And I think I've said before that some people should stick to college football and not try to let on they know it all about college basketball.
Sorry nlions, I had to throw that in. I kinda thought everyone who follows college basketball knew Paulus was finished at Duke.
