Head Coach Dave Wannstedt is taking the slow road this recruiting season. With in-state recruiting rival Penn State snagging kids left and right, Wanny and his staff have taken a new, inventive approach. "I don't think we need any more kids," said Wannstedt. "I think we're good with what we have." When asked if he understood that kids on the team had graduated, leaving their force about 20-25% shorter than 2008, Wanny replied, "Nah, I don't think. We have plenty of kids. They just gotta run faster."

PSU has landed the top 2 players in Pitt's backyard, QB Paul Jones and MLB Mike Hull. "We tried to offer every other kid on the Sto-Rox team in an effort to steal Jones, but those blasted Nits outdid us again," said Wannstedt. "We even offered a 5'1" 485 lb. CB that hasn't even been given pads, that's how far down the depth chart he was. I just don't understand the complexies of all this. We really do need to win games in order to land recruits, I guess?"

PSU is now set to land CT LB Khari Fortt, which would add a 5th 4-star player to their class. Pitt continues to chase NJ RB's with bad academics and no other offers.
