They recruit better talent than Johnstown has but no matter what they are always less athletic. Athleticism doesnt always win games and Johnstown is a great example.

Johnstown never runs short on athletes at the skill positions, lets not forget johnstown deals with many other intangibles that most other schools cannot even imagine...

Re: The low down on McCort recruiting!
here we go again. Let's not forget in today's day and age Johnstown isn't the only school district dealing with poverty, crime, and drugs. Hell Portage is dealing with it. So for Jtown to use it as an excuse year in and year out as to why they can't compete with AA and A schools when they are AAA is ridiculous. A lot of teams in the Pittsburgh and Philly area deal with it 100 times worse than Johnstown and still excel in sports, so they aren't that closely related to one another.
Re: The low down on McCort recruiting!
poverty doesnt hurt athletes that much. it should make them excel and get better so they can get into a good college for athletics and not have there kids suffer what they suffered through.
crimes should make an athlete want to live town and go somewhere where there is none. so if a crime happens and an athlete is the victim of it, they can use there anger and aggresion of the gridiron.
drugs on the other hand can hurt an athlete. some dont even want to be near them. they can escape them if they get into a college, get a degree, and start a clean life

Pitt, This topic has been dead for a week. If the 'R' word comes out it will be because YOU resurrected it!
