Why We Love Brian Gelzheiser.
A about 5-6 years ago, former PSU LB great Brian Gelzheiser (played in mid to late 90's) had an extremely hilarious quote in the Pittsburgh newspaper. He was asked why he thought PSU was seeming to slip. His genius response was: "ALL OUR PLAYERS STINK!!!!"
Yes, "stink", not even "su-ck".
I never forgot about that, so today I asked this in the Lion's Den:
"A few years ago, Gelzheiser was asked what he thought of why PSU was supposedly slipping, and he said "All our players stink!!!!" Never forgot that quote. I guess he wasn't a big Gino Capone fan. Neither was anyone else. Anyone hear anything from Gelzheiser since about 2004? I'm curious what his opinion is now, since I do not believe "all our players stink" anymore."
Then I get this response from one of the board members, which made me laugh my keyster off:
"Let me tell you a story about Gelzheiser. He was up there at the same time my sister was. My sister was a track athlete and they had the same study hall as the football team, she had great relationships with many players, KiJana, Troy Drayton, and a few others. After my sister's first simester she came home and a dog bit her nose off, basically (she's had a couple of surgeries and you can't even tell) but to get back to Gelszheizer this classy guy would bark at my sister in study hall. Yeah bark like a dog at her. Real classy."

It is an interesting guy, I had a few beers with him on several occasions and this sorta stuff doesn't surprise me at all.
Why?
