Champions League final
I am going to go out on a limb and see if anyone else watched the "Dream final" on Wednesday.
I was amazed at how well Barcelona's defense, playing without Alves and Abidal, held up against Man U. I actually think the game was won in the midfield. Carrick and Anderson were terrible for Man U. and Giggs did nothing. Ronaldo and Rooney got very poor service of the ball most of the game. Meanwhile, Xavi and Iniesta dominated the ball for Barca. I am not sure that Messi got the best of the individual matchup with Ronaldo, but he did score that goal (completely unmarked) and his team did win. I was mostly impressed with how Barca totally controlled the game against the supposed best team in the world. As a Man U fan, this was extremely frustrating.
