Game 7

Well the Penguins played a great game tonight and forced a game 7 in Detroit. I was impressed most by the physical play of the Pens tonight mainly in front of the goalie. It was the first time in the series that it seems that Fleury could clearly see every shot and Gill, Scuderi, and Orpik finally started moving some Red Wings around. I did not see the Pens winning tonight without a point from Malkin or Crosby but TK and Staal came through and each line kept the pressure on Osgood all night.

The Penguins did some things tonight that wants me to believe that they can win in Detroit but I also see a very good team that they are facing playing for the Cup in an amazing home atmosphere. Home team is 6-0 in this series so far and that definitely will lead to Detroit still being the favorite. I'm just excited to sit back and enjoy game 7.

scuds won that game 4 times by himself last night... amazing.

i think i had a solid 19 heart attacks last night watching that game. i can't wait for game 7. Right now it's a best of 1 series, anything can happen!!!

It's all about the third line, Kennedy-Staal-Cooke. Malkin will produce in game 7. He will come out possessed and when he gets that attitude he is impossible to stop. I will go as far as saying that power play aside, Crosby can be effective without scoring, just drawing the matching of Lindstrom and Kromwell every shift.

People do not realize how much Sid has done so far this series without scoring goals. Every shift he has Detroit's 3 best defensive players on the ice with him. By just taking them off the ice for the other 3 lines he is doing more than his part.

A lot of Wings fans claiming Pittsburgh got Lucky" last night. Here's something a little less lucky: regardless of what happens Friday, how many games did Detroit win in Pittsburgh?

I would say that it was luck (also the help of Osgood) that even kept that game from being a 3+ goal blowout. The Pens were definitely the better team last night. Yeah, the Wings poured it on in the last half of the 3rd but that was aided by powerplays.

Great points ak47. Also, he & Malkin have been defensive forces......everyone is focusing on game 5 when this multi-talented Det squad did, in fact, whip the Pens. But let's recall games 1 & 2....Pens out shot, out chanced & out hit Det.....it's gotta' be same formula for game 7 & Lord Stanley Lord Stanley give the Brandy back to the Burgh.....the Vman had Pens in 7, if we recall (w/ MAF being the key....again no soft goals & his mates will lay it in the line tomorrow)!!
