Not sure if it fits into this category, but it was great seeing the USA beat Spain this
evening in soccer. Must be one of the biggest upsets in recent soccer history.
Now the USA faces either Brazil or South Africa in the finals.

It was a good win for the USA but its not the world cup.....we will see what they do next summer.

I have been amazed at the coverage of this event. I can remember when the US beat Brazil in the Gold Cup in 1999 and it was like an ESPN afterthought. Now, ESPN is leading Sportscenter with the Confed. Cup. I wonder if they are pushing soccer because they just bought the rights to show Premiership games. I have been wondering when they would do this because they don't have anything on ESPN2 on Saturday mornings that would do better than soccer.
