IMO Tyrone, FH, and BM were all better teams than Central. Tyrone beat them bad head to head, Central got EVERY break against a FH team who threw 4 BAD interceptions and still almost won, and I'll give BM the benefit of the doubt. On the other hand, Central played on another level the last 2 games of their season.

Central was the best team in the AA bracket during the playoffs. However, I really think Tyrone, Forest Hills, Central, and Bishop McCort were all pretty close this year. On any given night any of these teams could win.
My point:
Tyrone stomps Central.
FH is pounding Central, then a busted double-reverse-pass play sends them to a district title.
Bishop McCort didn't play any of these teams, and only beat a common opponent (CC) by one point. A CC team who Central dominated.
Bishop McCort probably should have lost a few times this year...but they just refused to go down.
This year was really a matchup year with no single dominant team.

And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

You are aware that classifications for schools go by how many male students they have right?D6Guru wrote:I watched the AA championship game today and was happy that Wilmington won....especially beating a private school. I watched Wilmington last year beat McCort at Mansion Park. In my opinion, last year's Wilmington team was more talented, especially because they had a Divsion I running back. Heck, Central beats them this year if Runk is healthy.
In my opinion, if McCort stays AA this year, they would have had their best chance to win a state champ. Instead, they lower themselves and drop down to A to enable a better chance for Hershey. Ironically, they play a tougher team in A than they would in AA. Not doubt that Steelton is better than Wilmington.
That's karma for the Crushers....don't you feel bad?

I know that. Did you know that Aliquippa is an A school in football, but plays AA. Did you know that Steelton Highspire is AA in basketball, but plays AAA.football wrote:D6Guru wrote:You are aware that classifications for schools go by how many male students they have right?

you are aware that mccort will just restrict there enrollment from 160 or whatever it is now to 140 or 120 so that they are in the lowest classification. The previous 6 classification enrollment breakdowns i saw barely had them being AA.
