After middle infielders Jack Wilson and Freddy Sanchez have turned down contract extensions, most of the media has counted them out. Yesterday both said that they would really like to continue negotiations with the club to reach middle ground on a deal. GM Neal Huntington said that "it is extremely unlikely any deal will be made" because niether player made a counter-offer, meaning niether of them "are interested in their future and want to explore the market".

I think it would be a good idea to offer both players another extension, spend a little money. Maybe he should also pay attention to them saying that they would LIKE TO BE PIRATES AFTER THIS SEASON. Why does he think that good players should come after him?
