delweld has to much depth in the pitching department for 9 inning games..... There relief guys would be ace's on most teams... I take the battle tested Delweld team in this series! Oh by the way why don't harrington play much for martella's? i have been to a few of there games and really only see him pinch running?

aggravated his shoulder injury that kept him out last season. It'shis left shoulder he can throw but swinging a bat is where his problem lies.

it's no surprise the Martella's offense has become anemic lately with their leadoff hitter being hurt. There is a chance he'll be playing in this championship series.

There's probably some truth in that. I can't remember Bandzuh facing Delweld.
Bandzuh pitched against Delweld once and beat them, 7 to 4 or 3 i think

Word on the street is there was alot of controversy picking the MVP and MVP pitcher right before the last regular season game at the Point the other day.One of the managers( I won't say who, but he manages Principle) pissed off Chris Delsignore of Delweld and led to the difference of opinions concerning the MVP selections, then he stated in the trib-dem that he had no respect for the rest of the league.Sounds like some hostility there!

who did they want to win it? Donaldson is a tough player no doubt, but look at principles stats... they had like 35 more ab's then any other kid.... who padded those stats! Also how many of is hits were bunt, and little infield singles because of his speed out of the left handed box? I think the pitching award should have been split no doubt, But Roberts winning the MVP should have been no surprise, He turns in big numbers every year, he's an outstanding fielder, and brings alot to the team! Tony Joesph is Just an a$$hole and there is nothing to really argue about on that topic. Should be a great series i have work tonight and won't be able to make it!

I heard that Tony Joseph threw a fit when Roberts won MVP, not Donaldson, and Chris Delsignore stuck up for George winning. Tony then left the meeting after the pitching award was given accusing all of the other managers of colusion and politics. He was not even there to nominate his own players for the 2 rookie awards and the all-league team.

I believe that if Bandzuh had thrown against Martella's and Delweld more than once he would have won hands down. Quality wins I suppose mean something.

It's always someone else's fault with the Right Rev. Joseph. Blame the umpires. Blame the other coaches.
Matt Donaldson is an excellent player, but to think he should have been MVP over Roberts is delusional.
There's at least an argument about Pelekanos over Bandzuh.

I mean if i batted .440 i would be alittle upset as well. Who cares if the majority of his hits are infield hits or bunts. a hits a hit it doesnt state how it was done in the stats. Ichiro is one of the best hitters in the game and he gets his hits the same way.Thats the stupidest thing i've heard in awhile obviously from someone who doesnt know much about baseball. He had more AB's than everyone else and still batted .440. Impressive. But i dont dispute Georgey winning the MVP very good very dedicated ball player and an excellent guy. I just thought i'd defend matt here because there both very good friends of mine and very good baseball players. Should be fun to play against and watch the next two years.

ball66, thank you for bringing up a good point. I find a little something fishy with 3 of Principle's players listed in the top hitters having 30-40 more ab's than anyone else on that board. Either those kids didn't take a walk all year but something doesn't add up. Donaldson is a nice player, but like most others stated it isn't even a race for MVP. At least they got it right. No disrespect for Matt but I don't think opposing coaches and pitchers would pitch around him over Roberts. Roberts was near the top in nearly every major offensive category. Tony Joseph is a baby, and I guess he took his ball and went home. He needs to walk away, he is an embarrasment to his team and they do not benefit from having him as a coach. I guess in a way walking out, he was sticking up for his player. But any "real" coach would have went in to that meeting knowing you were comparing apples to oranges. Tony needs to ask himself if they were to reset the rosters next year and he would have his choice Donaldson or Roberts, who would he take???
