While practicing for the 2006 Orange Bowl against Penn State, Florida State linebacker A.J. Nickerson was accused of sexual assault in his hotel room and was sent home. The next day at a news conference, Joe Paterno was asked about the incident. Paterno said about Nickerson, "He may may not have even known what he was getting into. They knock on the door; somebody may knock on the door; a cute girl knocks on the door. What do you do? Thank God they don't knock on my door because I'd refer them to a couple of other rooms." And shocker, I lived out in Pittsburgh for 2 years. I'm not saying it's tough out there, but some area's of the city are still rough. And they just happen to be near Pitt's campus. If you don't know that, or admit that, then you've REALLY got the blinders on.
