A great coach, and an even greater man. There was an absolutely great article in the Tribune-Democrat today about him, link below. He will be missed greatly, thoughts and prayers go out to the Seidel family. R.I.P.

Truly, our community has suffered a great loss. My God be with him and his family.
Re: Coach Dave Seidel
I was one of the lucky men that had the honor and privilege to play for Coach Seidel for three years while at McCort, and I can honestly say he not only taught the team and I about football, but more so about life. He always taught how to treat others with respect and dignity. He was always one to have a great time at practice or in the locker room, most of the time with funny stories or comments. He treated everyone on the team as if they were his own son, and honestly, most of us believed him. McCort not only lost a great coach but a fantastic human being. My heart felt thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and his two sons, Chris and Josh, whom he loved dearly and was so proud of, I cant even put into words. We have lost a great coach, husband, son, father and uncle. May the Lord be with Dave, his family and all of his friends. We all are thinking of you during this hard time.
