Seriously, the only Big Ten game worth watching today was the Missouri/Illinois game, and the Illini were destroyed. As far as the "millions and millions" of people who watched the BTN today, I would say not. First of all, it was 9am and 10am this morning when the Pacific and Mountain time zones got the game. Who really cared? And who really wanted to see Akron travel to Beaver Stadium unless you were a fan or alumnus of either school. Just because people have the BTN on their cable system doesn't mean it is ever turned on.

Hey, how about Villanova over Temple today. I'll bet people are going to stay home and watch Temple take on the Nits on the BTN in a week or two. Outta be a good one.

As per the PPG, roughly 48,000 people showed up at the Pitt game today, meaning it was probably closer to 38,000. I guess either one of two things happened: (1) The Pirates had another free bobble-head night, or (2) Giant Eagle didn't give away free gasoline for going to a Pitt game.

Such poor alumni and fan support, especially for the season opener and considering that the game was not on TV. WVU versus Liberty was on TV, I wonder why PItt was not on TV?

I see Navarre Bowman missed the game today for PSU today because of injury. Couldn't they have put him on some kind of medical marijuana to help him heal faster?

Maybe they could have a priest come in and say a "special" prayer.

As some of you guys may not know, last years punter for the Nits has graduated, and "incumbent" Ryan Breen has left the team 2 weeks into spring practice. This potentially opened the door for Colin Wagner or Anthony Fera to take over the punting duties next season. HOWEVER, Anthony Fera was cited on Saturday night by Penn State police for purchase/possession of alcohol by a minor. Fera was apparently caught by police drinking directly out of a bottle of Cruzan Mango Rum and was slurring his speech when found outside his 2012 Nittany Apartment residence. He has since been fined $400 following the incident. When asked why he was outside in public drinking directly out of the bottle, Fera replied, "Because I couldn't find a straw long enough".
