Went to the Township/Windber game and was impressed with Township in the first half but think they thought they had it in the bag and eased up. Windber took advantage of this but defensively Windber needs help. Tackling is very poor, hit too high.

h-don/Tyr analogy......Stevie Franco is the real deal and those sophs are maturing quickly. Don't know where the paper guys were, but I had Franco 8/11 for 223yds 2 tds 2ints, oh, and the one int was a picture perfect 30 yd laser right on the hands of the receiver(in stride between 2 defenders crossing) at the goal line for what should have been a 3rd td pass, but bounced off his hands right to the out of position safety. 400 total yds to 59 for h-don. The only reason it wasn't a shutout was the special teams guy "screwed the pooch"(can I say that?) . and called for a pooch kickoff after a personal foul had Tyrone kicking from the h-don 45 yd line.... the kid coulda put it through the uprights from there, that was the only blemish on an outstanding performance(outside of the penalties).
The main thing Tyrone has to worry about is shooting themselves in the foot,... flagged over 40 times in 2 weeks(21 accepted ) is totally unFranco like and unacceptable.Heck they had a td called back and 2 long plays negated in the Bellwood loss alone. If they clean up the mistakes, and improve this week, they could bring big points with Central Mountain and Clearfield coming to town the next 2 weeks, but they are too good of opponents to play like that and expect not to be embarrassed. They need to make hay now with St Marys and Central coming on down the line if they want to be higher than a 6 seed.
