Big Eleven Woes, or No?

Post by Crimson09Crazy »

OSU hasnt looked good yet and everyone in the world is bashing TP for not winning a big game

Illinois was embarrassed by rival Mizzou early on and they have a 4 year starting QB and the most talent this program has had in years

Sparty has lost 2 in a row and looking more like a John L Smith team.

Penn State has yet to play a team with a pulse and havent scored over 31 yet....Theyre good but not as good as last season...looking like the only hope for the league

Michigan will falter pretty soon. But Dick Rod has brought some excitment back

Northwestern lost to....THE WORST TEAM in the BIG EAST!!!!!

Iowa.....took every ounce of luck they had to beat N.Iowa....theyre gonna get wrecked by PSU

Big Ten is looking pretty bad my friends

Ohio State is 2-1 and ranked 11th.

Penn State is ranked 4th(coaches, and the only one that matters right now. the AP poll isn't part of the BCS formula).

Michigan is ranked 22nd. What makes you think they're about to falter?

Minnesota played a very very tough game vs. a highly touted Cal team. They had the opportunity to win that game. Just couldn't make it click.

3 of the 11 are ranked. How about the big lEast? 1.

And who exactly has Pitt beaten so far? A I-AA team, a 1-2 Buffalo team, and a 1-2 Navy team.

Penn State at least played a BCS conference team in their OOC games this year.

We understand, you're excited. Pitt is 3-0. They're favored to win the Big lEast. But still they remain unranked and have yet to play ANY BCS affiliated team. Look at yourself before you make egregious accusations about another conference.

The top 2 teams in the B10 APPEAR to be Ohio State and PSU. Both teams are pretty young.

Michigan State is a disaster, and NW seems to be overhyped again. I dunno, though, Syracuse seems like they actually want to participate this season. Maybe Syracuse isn't so bad. From what I have seen, they certainly look like they can beat Louisville and Rutgers.

A little worried about Iowa, but man, their fans are really, really confident theya re going to waltz into PA and pound Penn State in a white out.

hahaha the point of this thread was to point out the same thing that was done about the Big East in another thread i guess the same words of advice can be given to another person on here eh?

You beat Syracuse arguably the worst BCS affiliated team in the country the past few seasons dont use that as your only support

Rankings? really? rankings are a terrible thing to base off of how good a league is. The Big Ten will always have a top 10 even if by no means they deserve it
How do you think that Navy team became 1-2? We beat them. and the "11th best team" beat them.

Using ham's theory, maybe Minnesota should have passed more.

But TAE was attempting to look for someone in the Big lEast to step up. Not trying to tear down an entire conference.

Hey, Moldy-@$$, I never said they needed to pass more. I said Navy needed to do better through the air. They needed to complete more than 6 passes out of 21 attempts.

Make a case for 1 team ranked behind PSU that they should be ranked ahead of Penn State. Have you seen any games this season? Because if you had, you would know that everyone seems to be overrated. Even Florida is not looking all that great so far. Other than Miami, who deserves to be ranked ahead of Penn State other than Florida, Texas, and Alabama? I'm ready to name Miami the best team in the nation if they win this week.

This "big ten doesn't deserve to a team ranked that high" argument is pretty weak, if for no other reason than everyone else sucks anyways, so whats the difference?

Keep ripping Syracuse but when they end up finishing well in the Big East, don't be surprised. They actually challenged themselves out of the conference. Also, they seem to actually want to compete this year not just roll over and play dead. I have them right behind Cincy and Pitt in the Big lEast right now.

It is too early to make any definite statements about anything. PSU hasn't played anyone. Florida and Texas haven't played anyone. OSU's loss to USC looks worse after USC's Washington performance. I do think it looks really bad for PSU making the BCS championship game even if they are undefeated (a real possibility). Why didn't they schedule anyone? Joe should have learned over the years that he needs to play people to win a championship. He has been burned by this before. What an idiot!!

They had Alabama on the schedule for this year, Wildcat. But Alabama pushed the series back to next year. They still should have tried to get someone worth a dang on the non-conference schedule. I think should have went to Oregon State to return the favor from last year.
