Re: Scores
when it comes to expectations. i mean anything can happen, as we saw northern bedford pull 3 upsets in a row to take the district last year.
but when it comes to expectations its basically:
ct
northstar
fannett metal (hard to tell because they play alot less competitive teams it seems)
and northern bedford.
also chestnut ridge is questionable too.
but those 4 SEEM to be the most talented.
but whoever has the most heart come playoff time will take it

Re: Scores
Northstar impressed me the other night against Township. Township probably having the most talented team in D5, and Northstar works very well as a team. my predictions go to one of these for the district title. im not familiar with many northstar players but they have a few strong ones. Township is stacked this year. Benson, Aurandt, Brown, and shaulis could win D5 alone. i think the competiton in D5 may not be the best this year, but there have been some pretty big upsets. Township getting a new coaching staff is either going to help them or hurt them. i hear about some problems going on with a player quitting. i heard it wasnt a big loss or anything but still, Township usually has consistent players. D6 is also looking rpetty well. Westmont is a powerhouse this year, but i also give alot of props to richland. also a very talented team. im really looking forward to this month. a lot can happen.

Re: Scores
I thought the NS/CT game was a good one. Both teams should contend for the title. You can't count out the defending champs(Northern) altough they did lose to a pretty weak Forbes Road team. Fannet-Metal has a good record but their schedule is a cake walk. Rockwood is really down this season. C.Ridge is just ok. Berlin has played too many tough teams. Overall, a lot of good records but the level of play is below average this season. District Six has some solid soccer teams this season so I look for some good playoff games.

Re: Scores
In district 6 id have to say the main teams are westmont, richland, mccort, bedford, and somerset. although richland and westmont are truly the only two consistent teams. somerset, mccort, and bedford are all good teams dont get me wrong but they are not consistent with good play one day they can b great and the next they can take an awful team in OT so they r very hard to predict. I look forward to the richland vs wetmont game, richland hasnt pulled off a win away at westy in about 3 to 4 years so it should b a good one. one other game that is going to b fun to watch is ct at richland. in preseason scrimmages richland lost to ct 3-1. ct does have great talent but im not so how well they will match up against richland on its home turf feild. this is going to be a great month of high school soccer. any other big games to look for?

Re: Scores
yes richland ct game will hopefully be good!
ct had some practice on the turf up at Altoona today, i'd say we played pretty well for the first time on a big field, but couldnt finish.
ct- 0

Re: Scores
Ricnland-1
Bedford-2
richland get handed its first lose of the season, richland came out strong scoring within the first 10 mins fo the game but from then on got extremely lazy and seemed to panic. Richland seemed to try and sit back and play defesne the whole game with only a one goal lead.then with 17 mins left in the game bedford scores twice to win the game. Overall it was a great game and both teams played hard.
