I do not want to start a debate, but I really would like to know how the coaches poll has any weight. Alot of coaches had already admitted not watching games and just ranking teams randomly. They are too busy with their own teams scouting reports and upcoming games to be interested in what other teams are doing. I really do not know how this poll can be effective in any formula.

The Coaches Poll has weight because it's in the BCS system. And as the system is right now, the BCS is the be-all and end-all. I don't like it. The majority of America doesn't like it. But it's a necessary evil that we all have to deal with as college football fans.

Hammy, you did not know Kansas and Missouri were ranked. How could that possibly happen if you are a big fan of the Coaches' Poll?

I guess deliverence sits around and memorizes the polls. I have come to expect something like that out of him.
