IF PATERNO WOULD EVER RETIRE WHO????

Post by footballfan1 »

Who would replace him? A current staff member or someone from the outside?

It will be someone in the system here is how I feel the pecking order is now (not saying it will stay in this order):

1. Tom Bradley
2. Jay Paterno
3. Larry Johnson
4. Mike McQuerry

I would put money on Paterno's replacement being one of those 4 people.

I wish they would hire out of the system because I just don't see a staff holding together when everyone on the staff wants the job.

Tom Bradley moves up to Head Coach.
LJ Sr. to Defensive Coordinator.

It's been pretty well documented that when Joe goes, Galen goes as well. I would
expect McQueary to move up to something, possibly to the role Galen
plays now. Not sure about Jay.

My crystal ball...

Bradley takes over. Jay takes over as OC (Hall leaves finally, thank Christ). LJ as DC. After 3 or 4 8-4 or 9-3 seasons, with stout recruiting, Jay will take over.

BTW...Jay's Nickname is Fredo.

PSU should hire Ferentz. Can't beat him...hire him!
