Bellwood vs. Mo Valley
Re: Bellwood vs. Mo Valley
What caused you to believe that Bellwood wasn't "up there" (wherever the hell that is) with McCort and Portage? Was it the fact that they beat Tyrone (who competes for State's every year)? Or maybe it was the fact they are known in the area as a team that plays their best football in playoff season? Or was it the fact that Bellwood was the one that played McCort close last year in a game that could have went either way? Maybe it could be the fact that John Hayes is regarded as one of the best coaches in the state? Or maybe it is because you only watch the same high school team every week and have no idea of what else is out there?rainmaker wrote:Wow, this post went way off topic.
After this big win, Bellwood showed me that maybe they will hang with Portage and could maybe beat them. I felt like Bellwood just wasn't up there with Portage this year, but I think I'm wrong now. They can play with them for sure. I'm still sticking by Portage vs McCort in the finals part 2. Who will be the 2 seed? Portage or Bellwood? Being the home team in that one could determine the winner.
Don't try to access football teams that the only reason you know exists is because of bleachercoaches.
Re: Bellwood vs. Mo Valley
two years ago, with an average record in the regular season, bellwood went out and blew out a very good 9-0 (#2 seed I believe) Ligonier Valley team in the second round of the playoffs. they went on to win the D-6 championship over Purchase Line, who coincidently as (the #4 seed I believe) went down and knocked off what everyone was claiming was an unbeatable Portage team. That Bellwood team had its way in the championship game and won it all.

There was never a question about Portage with Bellwood, it all comes down to McCort. This game tells me that they might have a chance against the Crushers. I think if you asked the McCort staff who their biggest threat is, I don't think they would hesitate saying Bellwood.rainmaker wrote:Wow, this post went way off topic.
