About half of my extended family claim they are Pitt fans. None of them have attended games since the 70's but they all attended games very frequently in the 70's.

This argument used by Pitt fans to justify decades of lousy attendance is pathetic. "Well, there are other things going on in Pittsburgh." BLAH BLAH BLAH.

How many times can you visit Kennywood or the Science Center? Maybe they had a nice display of gorillas at the Zoo? Why not blame it on the new casino?

Let's be realistic, in Centre, Clinton, Cameron,Clearfield, Huntington, Mifflin, Snyder & Union Counties the Saturday choices are: stay home tend to the herd, give sis a high hard one or go watch the Nitwits.....you make the call :o

Pittsburgh traffic or Centre county traffic? I would think most prefer the traffic jams in crappy valley than the 'Burgh.

PLEASE tell me you're kidding. Have you ever tried to get in to State College on a game day vs Pittsburgh on a Steelers game day? Judging by your statement, I'd venture a guess as to say you haven't.

Those same things are in the city when the Steelers, Penguins, and Pitt Basketball plays and that doesn't hurt their attendance. Pitt fans really have got to stop making excuses and fill the stadium. I bet if they began to fill the stadium many of things will start to fall into place. More nationally televised games, more revenue, and ultimately more recruits.

Leave Pitt alone. They're televised a lot nationally during the week when no one else is playing  .

I love it. I think this is the first thing deliverance said that I've 100% agreed with.

Shocker,

When was the last time you've been to a PSU game? 99 makes it easier, but I've had to leave 6 hours before a game just to make sure I have a spot to park. I showed up at the Pitt-Navy game 40 mins before kickoff, parked in a garage and made it in plenty of time for the game. Tell me once again how much easier it is to get into State College over Pittsburgh.

If you want to tailgate at psu then leave 6 hrs early.....I have been to two games this year (didn't tailgate). Left 2 1/2 hrs before game time. Parked over by the new arboretum. Had no problem getting into the game on time.
These attendance posts have nothing to do with Pitt / Uconn so dont get your blood pressure up over it. I only posted those couple things to see how much I could ruffle your feathers....it worked! It is actually no big deal. Lets face it, Michigan's attendance is better than PSU's and Ohio St. and Tenn. are right there with you, if not higher at times. Why dont you argue with them about attendance.
