If Portage and Bellwood win out their respective schedules, I estimate that BA would have a 60-70 point lead for the #2 seed. Bellwood's final three regular season games are .500 or above, with Tyrone wins helping out the total points. Portage's last opponent and this week's are ooooofer teams, that will yield only 10pts after CV and Ferndale meet. Please check my math OR just wait three weeks to see how things shake out.

based on your post, it seems you aren't aware that you continue to get points when teams you previously beat, wins their games after you have already played them. that is how the unbalanced schedules come into play.....when ferndale gets a win against hancock, md.....etc. portage will will continue to get points for wins by windber, CT, CR etc. however, bellwood will continue to get points for wins by mo valley, glendale, etc.

End of week 9: BA-1360 to Portage-1290 with wins from prior opponents taken into consideration, including Hancock victories for both Ferndale and Rockwood.

Sounds to me like FH can't get any respect.. they're of to a 6-0 start. Now they have a tough stretch of games coming up but if they come out unscathed they should be the favorites to win D6AA. I don't believe Central gets tested enough in their conference and they won't sneak up on any LHAC teams this time. Remember this FH team is the same one that showed they can play with BM earlier this year.. how about some respect!!

There is nothing wrong with Central's schedule. That is just an argument to use when you know nothing about a team and want a way to justify your school (or conference) being better than them. Tyrone, Central, Forest Hills too close to call at this point for me (Huntingdon could ruin someones parade in the semi's but not good enough to win the title).

In single A it is going to be either Bellwood or McCort. If Portage can somehow beat Bellwood in the semi's (which I do not think has much chance of happening) they will lose to McCort. If Bellwood gets to the finals either team can win it. I will definitely be making the trip to Mansion Park for this one. I really think people on this website are lacking an understanding of how good Bellwood is. Those of you that haven't followed high school football very long also fail to know how much better Bellwood gets playoff time. I recall one year about 8-10 years ago that Bellwood went like 5-4 or 6-3 and barely made the playoffs only to make a run deep into the state playoffs and lost in what I believe was the final 4.

The reality with Forest Hills is that they haven't won a big playoff game (or any big game for that matter) since they won districts in 2005 (as far as playoffs the same can be said for Tyrone). They need to earn the right to be called the favorites of D6.

Agreed. From what I've seen this year, which is just about every team...the LHAC is not as good on a whole as it has been the past few years. I strongly feel there is better football being played on the other side of the Mountain in D6 this year. I think it's clear that FH and McCort are the class of the LHAC, but the question is what do we REALLY know about them if nobody they play this year in conference will really test them.

BTW...Let me rephrase the talent comment I made on Tyrone. Like I said before, once you lose ahold of your dynasty run, it is tough to get it back. It is difficult to stay on top forever. Forest Hills found that out, then Tyrone, then BC...if history repeats itself someone else could be next.

McCort or America? And if it is McCort, then America could be quick to follow.

By the looks of things I think I'd have to go with America. For the simple reason that they can't drop down a level to face easier World Powers

Huntingdon probably fudged the numbers so they would be 6 AA. (wink, wink)
It ain't over until it's over.
