Give me your tired, your poor, your lazy.
Shyquam Pulliam, the Erie CB who has a ton of interest in PSU, will most likely end up at Pitt. Many schools have backed away from this kid, not b/c of a lack of talent, but b/c of his grades. Even still Pitt recently had no concern for this and offered him a scholarship.
Now, where have we heard this story before? When have we heard of a certain school accepting kids even when much better universities AND football programs have turned away from them? What school could it possibly be, that has very low athletic admissions requirements, rivals Ole Miss in its disgusting admissions, and still cannot win their conference, despite taking kids who would not get accepted elsewhere?
Do they have a sign in Oakland that says "Give me your tired, your poor, and your lazy"?

I'll say it again for the 20th time. McCoy told Paterno all he wanted to do was "get paid". The staff told McCoy AND his mother to look elsewhere. Miami also would not accept LeSean McCoy. Pitt did. How coincidental.
Whether or not you are a Pitt fan, you should be ashamed at how they get these kids admitted and "eligible". But I guess when they dont stick around to graduate, it never matters anyways.

There's no Kool Aid. You accept kids that cannot get accepted academically at other institutions. Pitt is a haven for kids who are lazy in the classroom and have no other option. So how bad are Todd Thomas' grades that not even Pitt would take him? That was after CLEMSON told him no!
Let's also remember that Pitt is the only school who:
1. Let's kids pick what position they want to play
2. Is the only D-1 school who told Gonzalez he can be a QB.

I must have missed the years where West Virginia was a traditional powerhouse. They must be in that upper circle with Pitt, above USC and ND and Texas and Oklahoma and Nebraska.

Apparently I really did! When did these WVU BCS victories over Penn State take place, Crimson? Let me ask you a better question: How long in advance did you have to buy your plane and game tickets for the bowl games on Fantasy Island? Did you have to pay with real money or can you use Sheetz MTO coupons? If you hear anything about upcoming PSU / WVU BCS meetings coming up, please have the aliens that give you info come down and put the fantasy BCS implant chip in my brain as well. Then, we can both converse about how the games went, instead of you just giving us recaps.
