Re: THERE ARE NO BAD COACHES
Johnstown has the best talent in the LH every year and should win it. They have many more students, but lack the discipline, dedication and pride schools like FH and BM have. Richland is putting many good people in place and will be there soon enough. As far as technique, I think BM has good technique but keep in mind they get talent showing up on their doorstep each year. Its easy to teach the top students in the class or coach the best athletes. FH is far from technique, that is called tough kids and tradition. The players are second and third generations, and they are football players before they know it. Again its easy to coach athletes like that, with many parents envolved the right way. I think Bailey does a great job, I heard his assistants basically do nothing and he calls 100% of the shots (offense, defense and Specials). So again, he does a great job and its going to interesting to see how the next coach does at FH.
The schools that are on top every year, are the schools with pride. They possess the uncoachables, such as heart, work ethic, dedication & toughness. I think Westmont lacks many, johnstown lacks dedication & heart, and so on..... Now to be a great coach is to take a program that is down for many of years and make it into a power house or a contender, thats takes many great coaches and people working together.

Re: THERE ARE NO BAD COACHES
I'm glad the assistants at Forest Hills do basically nothing. Why do people fail to realize that coaching a football game isn't a one night thing but a week long process. Does Bailey break down the films, set up the game plan, run the scout team offense and defense, and do all of this while implementing the game plan. Then to top it off, he calls every single play both offensively and defensively and makes every halftime adjustment by himself. I've been to nearly every Forest Hills game in the last 20 years and find it hard to believe the assistants do nothing. Why wear a headset or even have a staff? I guess Paterno does nothing too because I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I saw him wear a headset or even call a play. Since the rest of the staff is clueless how are the 7th, 8th, 9th, and JV records so good every year. Go to a game and watch the coaches on the sidelines and you'll see that they are actively involved throughout the contest. Ultimately everything comes down to the head coach at every program but I can guarantee if you're on a staff somewhere, head coach or assistant, you're working your tail off. I know I learned just as much from my assistant coaches as I did from Mr. Bailey and am very thankful for all the hard work they put in over the years.

Ha,ha- Everyone knows that the asst. coaches are the best coaches who do the job, Head coaches are only there to give the parents and fans someone to focus their b+_**ing at.

Recycle guy,
What assistant coach are you? There are 40 dressed in action each week and Coach Bailey calls everything, which makes it unreal not have coordinators. All I was saying is FH and BM have tradition, pride and dedication on their side and it makes coaching alittle easier. Looking at all the coaching staffs in the LH, I would say the FH staff is one of the weakest, unknowledgable staffs. I think Bailey has done unreal things at FH, and does call all the shots for offense, defense and specials. Please name the o-coordinator, d-coordinator or special team coach? Yes the Jr High teams are very successful, but again I think it makes things much easier coaching with the uncoachable things on your side, which FH has even at that level. The bottom line is FH has been winning for years, because Bailey is a mastermind coach, with great schemes, game plans and very talented, motivated, hardnosed football players. They definitely arent getting taught modern technique(or any at all in certain positions) or learning from highly qualified coaches(other than Bailey). To compare him with JoePa is ridiculous, because JoePa doesnt do anything at all and hasnt for years, and Bailey does everything. I dont want to sound disrespectful to the assistants, because I wasnt tryin to go there. I was just saying sometimes, the best coaching or coaches isnt needed to be successful. Recycle offended coach guy, sorry to offend you and good luck tomorrow night against Richland.

Re: THERE ARE NO BAD COACHES
I agree 100% Knightrider. Bailey does everything at FH and I've heard he hasn't taken advice from anyone since Myers left. You see most of the coaches standing around watching like they are fans during games. IF FH would get some new qualified coaches at the highschool level to teach football technique not from the 1960's they could be scary good..

"they also know more about kids. You raise 2, maybe 3 kids. And you are an expert????"
So we no longer need parents in this world, just give all the kids to the coaches?
