Bedford athlete. It is obvious you have some sort of dislike for some or all of the NB coaches. Coach Batzel since coming on board has helped lead NBC to a 59-39 record since 2000. 20 games over .500 is not to shabby in this decade so far. When you coach a young inexperienced group, god bless them, they will make mistakes. NB plays with class and is a program that I think is looked upon in our area as a classy football program. I no you can play should of and could of but any of us can sit here and do that with any part of our lives. The NB coaches prepare their kids to win and their game plans have been solid all year long. They are 4 plays away from being 6-2 or 7-1 right now. They will finish strong and don't be shocked if they go down and beat Mount Union Friday night. They will finish this season with class and whatever happens happens. I no it is next year but with 18 starters returning next season this program with flirt with an undefeated season next year.

Sorry Hornets. I just went by the district 5 site since is was a 5A topic. How did they run the combined district playoffs back then. Did they seed everyone together or did each district have its own bracket?

D5 and D6 were combined. Eight team bracket with guarenteed two D5 teams.

NEW PROJECTIONS

1. CT 8-1
2. Windber 7-2 Can they lose to Mey and lose this spot? They have AA win to be ahead of TM.
3. Tussey 7-2 They have a great shot at 7-2 with Glendale as a late hurdle. They need a lot of help to get to number 2. If Mey beats Windber and BV, then they'd be 2 instead of TM with their AA win.
4. Meyersdale 6-3 They beat Blacklick and lose to Windber.
5. Everett 6-3 They win out vs CK and Williamsburg. Mey has an AA win so they can't jump them if they have the same record. Mey could win both of their final two and they could lose both. I don't see any way this seed changes because TM, Windber, and Mey would all hold a tiebreaker advantage vs. Everett.
6. Berlin 4-5 They have CT and Portage left. I don't see any way this seed changes.

NB can still crash the party if they beat Mt Union and West Branch. At 2-5 it appears to be a longshot, but since they've led in all 7 games, I feel they could do it. Mt Union is a very good team though, so they'll have to play their best game of the year to have a shot.

First round matchups in this scenario...
CT and Windber BYE
Everett @ Mey
Berlin @ Tussey Mountain

These are pretty much my projections seed wise. Some records changed, but the seeds stayed the same.

If Mey beats Windber and BV, bump them all the way to 2. Put Windber at 3 and Everett at 4. Meyersdale is the big wildcard in all this.

If season ends after 8 weeks...CT #1 is clinched waits winner of #4 TM hosting #5 Everett.
Windber #2 waits winner of #3 Mey hosting #6 Berlin.

Berlin will be 6th...no miracle win over Mustangs in week 9

If Meyersdale gets to 6 wins tomorrow they clinch a 2 or 3....5 wins and both TM and Eve could pass them with a successful week 9. Still lots of 'ifs'

not if Meyersdale stays at 5 wins and Everett and TM get to 6...right now all have 5 with a Meyersdale result waiting to happen 10/24 and games 10/30.
