by that you should have just saved yourself the trouble of trying to insult me and just said, "You're perfectly right bisonblue and instead of trying to bring up a real opinion/argument i'm going to act like a child"

One thing about Bisonblue, you are like the many others on here who have to have the last word...now that is childish.

But keep bettin the bank...er mommy and daddy's piggy bank.

As of now Pitt is a top 20 program with only 1 loss (like many other great programs). That is relevent. Maybe by the end of the season things may be different, but until then deal with the fact they are a top 20 team. If that changes then you can talk about how relevent they are compared to other programs that have a better record.

Now go make mommy and daddy and big bro proud and get da studying!

You are definitely correct about pitt being where they are now, but they do have a tough stretch ahead and it should be interesting for fans of college football to see how it unfolds. I hope they win them all and by some miracle they'd get matched up with penn state in BCS bowl (and i didn't mean the miracle as in a slight to pitt, chances just aren't too good for it to take place) It's nice to see you have something to add to support your stance of pitt's relevance....

and just one final note on the unnecessary mommy/daddy comments....you seem to be an educated person and I'd imagine your parents helped you through school and if not then congratulations for making something of yourself when the odds may have been against you. Unlike you, I won't make assumptions, past saying that you seem educated, about someone I don't know; and if you take that as me trying to have the last word then so be it; let's talk about pitt/psu b/c that's clearly the topic thread.

When in doubt dig back to when your grandfathers dad was 15 and pull out some national championships he told you about to pound your chest about.

Titan, I make you look like a moron on a daily basis and the way you counter it is by pulling out championships from 1937. Nice argument. How does it feel to be owned?

Unfortunately for you Kirk, you weren't the first. Titan has been owned plenty of times since I joined the boards a few years back.

Bisonblue - As per your 1st quote "I said absolutely NOTHING about penn state and yet you feel you have to compare them to penn state".........Then Bison you come back with this on your last post "let's talk about pitt/psu b/c that's clearly the topic thread". Make up your mind BB7....can we compare them or not? Every time we do we Pitt fans to compare them we get nasty replys saying there is no comparison. And we are then called 'tool bags' and other immature nasty names.

That is why I have been begging you nitters to start comparing yourselves to the USC, Florida, LSU, Ok, and Texas. Talk about an unbalanced comparison. If you want to talk past National Titles, compare your team with, let's say ND. It's all in the past. If you all want to live in the past, good for you. I just would like to see this argument stick to this year and not the past.

"Owned"? On bleachercoaches? Ouch...I'm devestated. You can't be serious.

I may never be the same again after being "owned" on bleachercoaches. I will attend counseling after my MHMR class...

by me saying lets talk about pitt/psu i didn't mean that in a way that they have to be compared, it's nearly impossible to actually compare most teams in college football unless they've played each other consistently, which psu/pitt clearly have not. And when that happens then you have to look at other things such as polls, conference records, and all that jazz; which is one of the reasons why I dislike college football as it is on the national scale and one reason why the NFL has it better in that sense. With college football you have to sit here and argue about garbage because it can never be settled on the field. The steelers clearly won the super bowl last year and I don't think anyone is going to argue over them deserving to play in the game and then winning it.

and if you want to stick to current years or just this year alone, feel free to compare away with penn state and all those teams you listed; they'll be right up there with them in the wins and losses category and in conference titles (or battling for a championship) as well. I think the thing that gets people is that others try to say all these SEC and Big 12 teams are soo much better than penn state when in all actuality the gap is much smaller. Then the pitt fans get mad because they feel like pitt belongs in that category as well, which so far this year they have shown that perhaps that is true, but over the Mustache's years (which is recent history and still relevant) they've been down.

It seems to me like you take this stuff pretty seriously considering you have almost 1700 posts on this site and 95% of them are probably about Penn State in some form.
