Bill Walsh and Bill Belicheck are famed for casting off numerous head coaches from their staffs. An interesting tidbit I was just thinking about; John Franco is amassing a similar high school resume. If you look down his staff since he came to Tyrone, You have Rick Hatch, brief stints at Penn Cambria and Williamsburg and AD at BG, Mark Woodring, past head man at CK and asst at H-burg, Tom Miller, past Head coach at Tyrone, Murry Fetzer, current head coach at Mo Valley, Steve Gutthoff, past head coach at P-O and Bellefonte and current head coach at Lewistown, and Tom Palfey, current head coach at Altoona. Then factor in over a dozen coaches who are now assts somewhere and a couple others head guys that were on his staff while at Altoona in the 80's. Pretty impressive.
