I dont know im onn the McCort side of things.....Why not you a living beathing member of the LHAC and D6 community tell me why everyone on here roots for Steel High and Wilmington and whoever...

In all honesty, LHAC/D6 fans should be rooting for Mccort to go far in the playoffs. It only makes the conference look better in the end. You can hate them when you play them, but support them when they go far in the playoffs. Doesn't everyone want respect from state cotender football programs? Thats the ideal thing that everyone wants, right?

McCort didn't win districts yet. But, yes, whoever wins districts needs support from the entire central PA region.

My theory is that BG entered the playoffs because they knew their competition. They feel that they can beat United. Do you really think they would have entered the playoffs if they had to play McCort or Bellwood in the first round.....I don't think so.

I hope BG gets trounced by United and the district reconsiders the "BG played tougher competition stance."

Four Things:
1. BG or any 3 win; make that 4 win team shouldn't be considered "qualifiers" to the playoffs. If you can't win more than half your games, then you should NOT qualify for a CHAMPIONSHIP Tourney.

2. Can there be another change in the rules this week? We might find that Mo Valley and Mt. Union decide to play Friday at 1pm so as not to inconvience anyone on either team, school, or community. If Mo Valley is supposed to play Saturday night, they should play Saturday night. If players would rather go to a PSU game than fulfill the quest for a championship, then forfiet the game or drop out of the playoffs. Give me a break.

3. Coaches such as Gouse and Fetzer need to worry about preparing their teams within the context of the playoff system. The system is set up to allow teams to scout their future opponent, therefore needing to play of alternate Fri/Sat dates. Play the games, follow the rules, quit b@@##ing.

4. Go back to a 10 game season; pick the top 8 teams. This year, only two 6-3 teams (Glendale and Mt. Union) would miss out, and maybe points could change by adding the 10th week. Also, will either of those teams win this year? Probably not IMO!!!

Mt Union is petitioning to have the game changed from its noon start time because they have seniors taking the SATs that day.

Amen, but the PIAA would lose out on huge gate receipts. With a 16 team bracket you have 15 games w/ 8 team bracket you only have 7 games.
