Impressed by Mount Union or underwhelmed by McCort? I would say McCort needs to start imposing their will on teams. With that front 7 on D and that Dline that game shoulda been 35 zip at the half. But a win is a win. They need to play better if they wanna get out of the district. And maybe the most predictible offense ever.

#21 gave Rugg and the right guard trouble -- impressive
#1 was a soldier the whole game, even after 7 sacks -- impressive
No question in my mind Seidel could have broke a few long runs where Merriman and Co were unable to do so. Game should have been 35-0 at half? yes I agree BM should have been able to do so, shows how important Seidel is and also what they miss having Domonkos at QB rather than a threat at WR.
I think the student section, or lack there of, reflected the team's mindset headed into the game. Most fans felt 'safe' entering the game, which is the perfect attitude for an upset.

Gee I guess a 3-7 team may belong in the playoffs once in a while!Zeitgeist wrote:Titan, how about this for an upset? Last night out of D2, Riverside (3-7) upset Old Forge (10-0, PFN #8) 30-14 in the first round of the playoffs. Old Forge thumped Riverside in the season opener 43-12! Talk about looking ahead

#21 shoulda spent most of the game on his back, dont know if Rugg just played not so well but not his best effort. And Dane at qb gives McCort a much better chance than if he plays wideout. Use Pinks size and speed to beat up on corners while letting Dane break the pocket to either throw or tuck that thing and run. And lets not make excuses, even without Seidel game shoulda been done at half without the starters playing the second.
And mindset, I would say that immsense coaching staff had an issue with the mindset. The only person actively coaching young guys up in the second half wears a black jacket and yells riddell on riddell. It looked like no one wanted to be there. Gotta get better. They should burn that game tape and start from scratch.
