Uhhhh no but they were ranked before Navy beat them & I believe USF was ranked when Pitt beat them.

You wish to get on Pitt for playing ND??? They are in 2nd or 3rd yr of an 8 yr agreement....UPS only has 8 yr agreements w/ Temple...Ohh, I'm sorry that's your rival

Another Pitt fan bringing up Penn State in a Pitt thread. The trend continues.

Go look at Pitt's schedule on ESPN.com. They keep the rankings of opponents at the time the game was played. USF was NOT ranked when Pitt played them. Notre Dame is going to finish 6-6.

Unfortunately for Pitt, they are actually playing very well but their schedule looks bad. But... are they actually good? We cant just assume Pitt is good anymore than you can assume Penn State is. That's why there needs to be a playoff. Because my opinion and Vman's and Ham's are all just as rational as Pat Forde's or Chris Fowler's.

Pitt is playing very well. They are not great, but they are good. I honestly do think they will get screwed though, because they wont beat Cincinnati and that game is so late that it will more than likely kick them out of the BCS at-large.

But... does Pitt deserve it? They have a very bad loss on their slate.

Pitt looked very good, while ND looked terrible. Gonna be an interesting Backyard Brawl. I hope this year the Big East does not do its usual and everyone knocks everybody else off like it has been in the past. Pitt can win both games, just has to keep their offense on the field and WVU's and CINCI's on the sideline. The King Midas of sh*t, Wanny looks to be turning the ship around out there.

The question is, who is a top notch college football team? The don't make em like they used to in my opinion.

There's a lot of parity in College Football this year. I don't think that means that there's no top notch teams. That will all be decided once the bowl games start. It's tough to determine how good a team really is when practically no one schedules good teams out of their conferences anymore. You'll see that there's a few top notch teams once the Bowl games roll around.
