Re: Semi~finals are set
Well, I'm going to say Clairton over Laurel, but in a real close one... In the first game of the year (up at Laurel) Clairton got caught with their pants down.. I don't think that's going to happen again...
I'm going to take Coach Matusics "The Rochester Rams" for the whole ball of wax...
Rams -Vs- Twp Indians at East Allegheny H.S. :?: (or0 will it Be Rams -Vs- RAMblers  :?:
Here's what they are saying:
Class (A) Quarterfinal Play of the Week
Game: Clairton 20, Rochester 19
Broadcasters: Dan Zangrilli and Jason Coleman
Play: In a re-match of the "2006" Class (A) W.P.I.A.L. Championship, Rochester held off the number one seed Clairton Bears and led until late in the game. The Bears then came to life as Deontae Howard pulled in a Troy Webb pass for a 78-yard touchdown with just over five minutes to play to pull out the quarterfinal victory. Rochester controlled most of this game holding on to a 19-15 halftime lead on two Brandon Gray touchdown passes and a touchdown run. They held the lead into the fourth quarter as they shut down the Bears running game and contained the Clairton passing game until the Howard reception in the fourth quarter. Our P.O.T.W. in Class (A) is the Webb to Howard touchdown pass that covered 78-yards for the Clairton Bears in its playoff victory.

Re: Semi~finals are set
Thanks for the analysis CHOPS, I kinda figured that Clairton was unprepared for the game first time around, the Bears were preseason PFN #1, but at the sametime give LAurel their due they only lost to Rochester by a score and thats their only loss. And no matter which teams are palying I'm saying, D7 Champ(-35) vs D5 Champ

Underdog,
Yea! I wished it weren't so! I'd just love to see a District #5 CLASS (A) or (AA) just break through for one year & take the State Champion GOLD Football back HOME...
I'm not sure I'll see it in my Life~Time :?:
Those teams out West are just so darn good year in & year out. I love watching them play, when I'm not up watching Windber (or) someone else...
There are some stinko teams down here too. Including the Pathetic Southmoreland Scotties (in my Home Town)... They haven't won a game of football since "Christ left Chicago" I think they are 0-33. I know they haven't won a game in three years...
