Always respected & impressed by MLK! Not many know he had a PHD in Philosophy! Couple of my favorite quotes:

"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it."

"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."

Vman, Just because people bash BM doesn't mean they are bashing the Catholic religion. People are opposed to the athletic system that our state perpetuates and it just so happens that the Catholic schools benefit from that system. If BM was Jewish or Lutheran or any religion for that matter, they would receive the same criticism if the same advantages are in place. I've been on this board quite a while and as a Catholic I cannot recall anyone on this board bashing the Catholic religion.

I hear ya Lefty...sometime you need a little levity to the situation & again I do not mean to make light of this deed! God bless this wonderful family & I have faith that a lot of this young man's friends & peers will step up, be there for him & support him thru this!

I'm sure prejudice against Catholics does exist in places. My point is that it does not exist on this board as your original post implied.
Blacks, Catholics....still a lot of Hate in this region! Have you read this board last few years?
