They are getting better. It takes time. Last year they started slow too, but they wont make the NIT this year I dont think. I am encouraged by the effort the university is putting into basketball, though. 2 weekends ago, they hosted a lot of 4 and 5-star recruits. 5 years ago those kids would not even step on campus. Like I have always said, as a fan, all you can ask for is for the program to progress. I am not too confident about this season, but I am glad that there is more effort placed in the program. We'll see.

Maybe PSU is good for what ails ya. UNC-Wilmington was 0-2 when they played the Nits. The Tulane Highways were 0-2 when they played the Nits. Now Davidson, which is 0-3, plays the Nits tomorrow. By the way, Davidson's next game is with Fredonia State. "Hail, Hail, Fredonia. Land of the brave... and... freeeeeeeeee!!!"

To become a quality team in College Basketball, it takes putting kids in the NBA or a lot of $$$. Worldwide Wes at Memphis helped build that program. If you don't know who that is, look him up. Most 4 and 5 star recruits will not go to a school like PSU because they don't put players in the NBA. Also, they don't remind me of a school that's going to have someone guaranteeing kids shoe money among other things to become a major player in the NCAA. I will be shocked if PSU becomes a consistently good basketball school in the next 5 years. There's just too many hurdles for them to jump at this point.
