Yes Hayes has coached, and won, alot of big games but give Gause his due. There was that time Portage got to the district title game, and he coached against McCort and, oh wait.

Hey, some people might have missed this (myself included) but Josh Funk has a really nice writeup of the Portage/Marion Center game over at WesternPAFootball.net.

http://www.westernpafootball.net/gotw-4 ... -quarters/

Also, here are two videos from the Penns Manor/Homer-Center game and the PM/United game with highlights in the beginning. Basically everything after the 3 minute mark in both is just interviews.

listen portage is a very outstanding team there very tough up front there backs run hard and block hard. There not a team thats going to lay down and let bellwood run all over them there going to go to bellwood and come out mean and there going to to show all you doubters how wrong you are about the stangs

I find it very hard to believe that Portage will give up 42 points. There defense this year has only allowed 53 points all year.Compare this to 109 ponits for Bellwood. Also, I find it slightly biased that the Altoona Mirror's expert picks have Bellwood as the favorite, and then in Johnstown's Tribune Democrat they have Portage as the favorite. It is my opinion that Portage is better on the stat sheet than Bellwood due to the lack of challenging teams during the regular season.Bellwood has a great team and so does Portage, but in the end I think Bellwood will put up a great challenge for Portage and Portage will narrowly win this game (Prediction B.A. 28 Portage 35)
