Didn't Central give Wilmington, the state champs, a good game last year?
Now you have FH, Tyrone, and Central in the mix.
I think all three of these teams will give the "REAL" teams in Quippa or Greensburg a heavy dose of D6 power football....

DWG
Last year Central fell to the eventual state champion Hounds by just two 21-19, and Runk tore his knee in the second quarter and missed rest of the game, so if he stays healthy who knows what happens.

Re: Richland Vs FH
The Centurians and Q's have had better teams than this year's and been beaten. It CAN happen. Not saying it will, but it can.
It ain't over until it's over.

Re: Richland Vs FH
District SiX is one of the toughest districts in the State. I wouldn't be afraid to put Tyrone , Central, or FH up against Quippa or GCC. I guess we will find out after the District Finals next week.
Re: Richland Vs FH
I think it was all about community support for the rams. The Richland area was very proud of the team for making it so far. Good luck to all the teams.MASTERMIND wrote:It is true, it is true. Police escort, fire truck, all the bells and whistles. Except they forgot that it was a football game. I can't agree with you more OC. When you come to Sidman, you better be ready to play. The Rams talked the talk, but couldn't walk the walk.
Re: Richland Vs FH
agreed, because unlike other programs like FH, they haven't been there before
interesting to see what Bailey does without anyone to step up to the QB spot and having a few good runners coming back(cinko, rizzo)
IMO next year will determine if richland is going to be "a good team once every few years when the talents up" or a good program that doesnt rebuilds but reloads (tyrone FH etc-discluding BM they just get some "religious transfers

Forest Hills will have a good fotball team for MANY years to come. It starts with the playing of pee wee's to junior high to th high school level. Forest Hills has a system inplce for all thee.
If you go back andlook at mst of the kids that played Geistown Pee Wee football 5-10 years ago you wuld fin a lt of good football players in the area. As long as this system is still intact Forest Hills will be a powr.

Re: Richland Vs FH
Well it seems Richland has started their own Rockets program, which has gotten more kids from the district interested in football. The first few classes are hitting the high school level so hopefully they can be consistent and young Bailey can keep it going...next season will be crucial, will he stick his players in the heavy pass offense or run the offense to suit his players?
