I hope no Millersburg people are reading :!:letstalkfootball wrote:im a mccort fan, every1 who sees a post of mine can see that. although i dont post alot. but chrisitan leech? really? the kid is awful, he plays an ok zone but any dback should be able to. all his picks have come from mistaken throws by a quarterback, none worked for. his man coverage is awful, he cant stop any1 or make a tackle.
In all actuality, he's done a fine job and has 5 ints - which if INTs mean your good - then he's one of the best in the conference.
Tops in INTS in LHAC...
Moss (FH) 8 Ints
Leech (BM) 5
Domonkos (BM) 4
p.s. FH's success definitely comes with keeping pressure...3 of the top 5 sack leaders in the LHAC??
FH - Oshaben 12 sacks
BM - Pioli 11.5
FH - Wingard 11
GJ - Williams 9
FH - Gdula 8
**I will hereby denounce my pre-season prediction on Nick Dudukovich and his inability to replace some guy named Mehall! He leads the LHAC with 1716 yards rushing on only 208 attempts while scoring 172 pts for the Rangers. Seidel is 3rd in rushing yards (1454 on a meagre 147 attemps) and 2nd in scoring (162 pts)..too bad he only had one rush attempt vs Westmont...

DWG, thank you. I was the one you argued with about Dudukovich filling Mehall's shoes.. The scary thing is.. Dudukovich didn't play in the first game against Central Cambria!
Is it possible that he is as good, or better, than Mehall?!

If a safety is getting 1oo tackles in the LHAC, the guys in the box aren't doing their job.

Re: Top LHAC Players of 2009
Two different style runners. Let's be fair here too. Scott Mehall can be credited as much as this senior class for bringing FH back to prominence. His work ethic and leadership helped pave the way for this 2009 team. Let’s also not forget about the guy in front of Dudukovich…Jeff Meier. Meier has been as instrumental to this year’s success as any other guy on the team. He has had a real solid year on both sides of the ball.lakersfan24 wrote:DWG, thank you. Nick Dudukovich has had an incredible year, and I think by the end of next year many will have no problem mentioning his name with some of the great FH backs like Justin Beyer, Donny Meier, and Scott Mehall.
I always hate comparing the “best” because there are so many other factors and to slight guys who were darn good like the above mentioned is an injustice. But, there is no doubt that Nick, Anthony, and Jeff have made sure the FH running game hasn’t missed a beat.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!
Re: Top LHAC Players of 2009
Well said Opionionguy.Jeff Meier has alot to do with the success of the FH running game this year.Did you see the way he was running last week against Tyrone? However, Nick D is having an exceptional year also. The only thing that bothers me is if FH has to play from behind and can't dictate running the ball 98% of the time. The passing attack has been stagnant for so long and I just don't know if they can play from behind
if they have to. Remember that"s not Travis standing back there. And in big games last year Glessner didn't produce like he should have. 9 or 10 ints in the 2 losses. The CC game(08) was close and we went pass mode too fast and the game with Central we really didn't have to pass as much as we did because they really didn't stop our running AND the way the wind was blowing it ended in disaster.Concerning Mehall I'm sure he wishes his ex-teammates well.He ran all summer with most of them and and I see him with alot of them still.
The whole FH community should be behind this team and dam proud the way they fought back after that sickening season back in 07.The faces- Matsko,Danel Bailey,Bulvin,Chuntas,Chico,Bummy,Myers,Shope, Travis and Josh Rearick,Mehalls,Beyer, Donnie Meier, and all the "ugly guys" up front etc, change but the beat goes on.Please don't say one was better than another. Circumstances and personnel dictate how a team or individuals will do.Just keep the tradition continuing!

Re: Top LHAC Players of 2009
I am going to agree with everyons opinions. Nick is a typical FH RB. Runs hard up the gut and has some break away speed. Nick reminds me more of a FB then a RB for some reason. From last year they only lost McCarty from the line so the line is a year older and playing better then last by far. Also you have to look at who was blockin from last year to this year and once again Meier was back there last year so he is also a year older and a lot better.
I will see what Nick does next year to see where I put him in FH RB history. If he has as good as a year next year as this year then I can put him with Beyer and the rest. He loses a lot of the line next year and the QB so it will be hard to do.
As for Mehall, he will fovever be in aclass of his ownin FH RB history. Last yar almost every team in the playoffs knew what play was going to be run eitherthe pitc right or left and no one coul stop him. There has never been a RB in Fh's history that has displayd his field vision and open field running. Even if you hated football the kid was exciting to watch.
That is my honest opinion so hate away.

Re: Top LHAC Players of 2009
Beyer only had one good season so why wont nick be in that category? And they didnt win districts that year United did...just saying
Re: Top LHAC Players of 2009
Amused, your forgetting that the Rangers had a much more potent passing game last year with Rosenberger and company, and the run couldn't be keyed on as much
