Tiger, I do not know if you watched the second half of the Rangers season last year but they really didn't have any passing attack at all.

Is it possible that he is as good, or better, than Mehall?!
uhhh.. simply put.. No. The two played together last year and Mehall's far and away a superior athlete. Mehall was hands down the best Rb to ever play at FH. Prob top 2 athlete at FH all time with T. Baumgardner. He was the most explosive and dynamic player from the FH area in a long time, comparing Nick to him isn't fair to Nick who is a fine rb in his own right. If you disagree you obviouslly didn't watch Mehall during his 3 seasons.. the first two Bailey didn't know whether he wanted him to play receiver or runningback because he was great at both.

Nick, keep it up and keep running hard. Good luck

Very well put Disciple. Nick fell short of being FH's all time leading rusher tonight by 60 yards I believe. He is now third on the all time best single season rushing record behind Mehall and Beyer. He played a game more then Mehall and had more carries, I do not remember how many games Beyer had or how many carries.

Great season Nick still have a chance to break it next year. Hopefully you play as long as you got to this year.

Far and away the better athlete? 1800 yards a junior > 500 yards as a junior...

We shouldnt even be arguing about this, they both represented FH amazingly and carried the team on their backs, theres no reason to put either player down.

No one's putting either player down.. All I'm saying is if you're a true FH fan and you watched FH the past 4 seasons, you know Mehall was a much better athlete. Go watch how he got his 500 yards that season and you'll understand.

First off this is why you shouldn't compare GREAT players from DIFFERENT time frames because you can't, things are too differnt...and then stupid posts like this happen.

First let me say there Double D that yes Mehall was a great back. Can you make an argument for him that he was the best ever. Absolutely. Was he? Well that's your opinion and you’re entitled to it. However to compare to Timmy B is a little much even for the OG to swallow, and believe me I am/was a HUGE Scott Mehall fan . The reason this is a little much is because Mehall didn't play on the defensive side of the ball. Now, take other backs that have a punishing style like Beyer, Nick D. , and let them play one way and their game goes to another level.

Timmy B...only player in this area to be named to both T.D. offensive and defensive player of the year. Enough said.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

I'm not a true fh fan, considering its not my alma mater. Im just looking at the facts though. Mehall mightve been the better athlete, but he only had one "big" year, only one year over 1000 yards. Dudukovich just put up 1800 yards as a junior. I dont know if the kid has a good work ethic or not, but if he does i expect big things from him next year.

I think when Timmy B won the Tribune-Democrat award, there was ONLY ONE award given for the area. It was PLAYER OF THE YEAR. There were not separate awards for offense and defense. Irregardless, Timmy was a phenomenol player. Running, receiving, defense. He did it all.

And didn't many of you say it was a DOWN year for the LHAC?????? Isn't that a consideration when comparing past running backs to those of today?

Baumgardner was a hell of an athlete, but Mehall was the better running back, Baumgardner was the better overall highschool football player. But to say that Dudukovich was better than Mehall because they had similar numbers is completely wrong. If you watched both of them play the difference is obvious. Also, I think I remember Bailey saying Mehall didn't play defense because HE didn't want him to, not because he wasn't capable to.
